I went ahead and purchased the nba.com summer league pass so i can watch the suns new guys.
It is 2;53 in the 3 quarter so i missed most of the first of the game. I was trying to follow on nba.com just looking at the score and said forget this.

they played pretty good defense is what i liked about this game. a lot of dif. guys played.
I couldn't watch it but from the recaps I've read it all seemed pretty positive. Goodwin seems impressive. Hornacek did a good job getting everyone the ball where they can be most effective as well as tightening up the defense when he needed to. I'm also happy he got everyone at least 5minutes on the court so we can see what they can do.
The only big negative is that Kieff still fouls a ton and is still not a consistent shooter. It's frustrating because he's actually a really great player when he's on form; he'll block shots, get steals and drain it from 3. I can see the twins starting for us this year if we trade Scola just to try and get them going.
I was just looking at the standings of both the summers leagues and I notice the miami is the only team that is in both orlando and vegas. It seem that if we are trying to develop our rooks, that we would want as many games as possible and be in both. I know there is some expense involved with putting together a team and travel but that is nothing compared to what you are going to pay, esp. the first rounders who are guaranteed.
The twins got a lot of playing time at the end of last season and we must have liked what we saw. I like them but think they are marginal at starters. very nice for bench play as you can see that they are better than most of these summer league players.
next suns game mon. july 15 at 3:30 pm. stay tuned.
also i was impressed with the nba.com television of the game. it all taped so you can watch it later or pause and leave the room or watch something twice. pretty cool for $15. I know im spoiled with that feature on my tv. sometimes im in my car, listening to the radio, and think what did he say, rewind that. haha.
I managed to watch the first half and I thought Marshall played pretty well. He got beat on D a few times and didnt put up big numbers but we definitely looked better when Marshall led the team; looking at his stats the plus minus backs that up.
I don't see Marshall as a starter but I think he's showing he can be a decent back-up.
