Raptors fill out roster with back up PG Dwight Buycks

    Eric Koreen ‏@ekoreen
.@DarnellMayberry is reporting that Raps will sign point guard Dwight Buycks, who played for BCM Gravelines in France last year.

Here is a little reading on him: http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2013...-summer-league

Seems like an Alan Anderson type move.

i'll be the first to admit i've never actually seen the kid play, but at first blush this is not the pass oriented guard i was hoping for. i will also require assistance pronouncing his name.

He comes from France, we sure are tanking. Hopefully he won't pull out a triple double in the last game

He's on either Orlando's or OKC's summer league team, he has a really nice shot, but he's definitely not a pass first PG, which is fine because Stone is the complete opposite of that.
It's kind of weird that he will be signed off of somebody else's summer league team, before the Raptors have even played a Summer league game themselves, does that mean he changes to the raps team now?

Though he can undoubtedly assert himself offensively, he's clearly been aiming to prove he can be just as much as a floor general, too. In Summer League, he's been looking to find his OKC teammates in the open the floor, and has been doing it well.

Buycks is always a threat to keep defenses guessing, due to his displayed ability to dish it off, or instead, hit the open jumper or charge full speed ahead to the basket.

Seems like we had to jump on him quickly and was a better minimum option than we saw elsewhere. I'm ok with this if we are truly against the apron.

This roster aggravates me so much. Lowry WILL get injured, especially if he is expected to play 30+ minutes. What happens then?

I understand that MU wants to make sure he gets value, and maybe he's just posturing with Rudy, but it makes absolutely no sense to try and compete with these pgs.

If we're tanking, tank. If we're going to try to compete then you have to go into the lux. It's one or the other. Please, no more ****ing treadmill!

Can you tell I'm getting frustrated? Hiring a new gm makes no sense as it stands right now. That's coming from someone who hated Colangelo.
