Good for them. Shanny was the first jersey I ever had with a name on it.

I don't think players in the NHL go in the hall by team.

    Good for both of them.

Shanahan was the puzzle piece that the Wings needed to get to the cup. Back to back cups I might add. Of course it didn't hurt having Yzerman and Federov on the team either along with Scotty Bowman as Coach.

Chelios was that player everyone loved to hate unless he was on your team. Wings' fans hated him when he was a Blackhawk and loved him when he became a Wing. One of the toughest players in hockey. If he could get to the ice, he was playing. Personally, I think he got jerked around a lot the last season he played for the Wings.

That more I think about it that 2001-2002 team was insane If I remember right the entire first line was Shanny -Yzerman-Hull-Lids-Chelios. That's insane to think that all 5 guys were hall of fame players. I can't think of another team that had 5 eventually hall of fame players starting.

There's a reason why that was considered one of the best teams of all-time. You're forgetting Sergei Fedorov, Igor Larionov, Pavel Datsyuk, Dom Hasek, Luc Robitaille, who could all hit the hall of fame, and then you've got players like Draper, Maltby, McCarty, and Holmstrom.

Great team. Great memories. I think I still remember how the series' went. 4, then 6, then 7, and then 5. Colorado game 7, priceless.

Igor Larionov was admitted to the HOF in 2008.

Thus why I mentioned others too and used the words "could all"

They nicknamed the PP line as the Hall of Fame line.

I think it was Luc-Yzerman-Hull-Lidstrom and Shanny at the point.

That year was amazing. Senior year in college and we lived offcampus with the NHL package. I missed just 2 games the whole season. That team was so much fun to watch. Especially great coming off the previous year with that damn series against the Kings.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that so I figured I'd ask. But it seems to me if there is a photo of the player on the wall, they will be wearing a jersey and not a shirt and tie. Wait, I just found a photo from the Hall of Fame. They definitely have jerseys of the players enshrined:
