This is a huge relief.. I wish we knew for certain when he needed to be on the 40 man to avoid Rule 5

    He was dominating the DSL for what it's worth. 12.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 4 H, 2 BB, 13 K

Excellent. My favorite pitching prospect in the system.

We were the third team to sign him after ID shenanigans got his two previous contracts voided. Because he's not super tall and has lost development time with his contract and visa issues, it's hard to get a good concensus on how scouts view his ceiling. You hear he's probably a reliever with late inning stuff, but you also hear that NYY scouts were very disappointed to lose out on him (they were one of the teams he'd originally signed with) and supposedly one of them said Paniagua would be the best pitching prospect we've had since Mark Prior.

Wait so he's more than likely going to be a reliever? Bleh.

Hard to say. He doesn't have ideal size.

Wasn't aware but that's good. Ideally if he was in the US at ST he'd be in Tennessee by now, but I bet he goes from Arizona to Daytona and ends in Tennessee or Iowa by end of 2014
    Thanks JO-MO

I just hope this cat isn't like 25 years old since MLB could never even verify his age...

If his stuff is as good as its supposed to be, I couldn't care less how old he is.

And then. He made them pancakes.
