Mariano Rivera and Robinson Cano 2013 MLB All-Stars (D-Rob final vote)

Mo and Robbie announced as all-stars and D-Rob is on the final vote ballot. I would have liked to see Gardy on the final vote ballot.

    Masahiro Tanaka

Personally I wish the final vote wasn't all relievers and some of the 3rd baseman got some play.

    Youk

Seriously though, I'd rather the vote be Longo, Beltre, Donaldson, and whomever.

Ya agreed longoria should've made it.
Puig will win the NL vote easy. Won't even be a competition. He got over 800,000 write ins as a starter

might have something to do with the rule saying every tema needs a player.

Apparently Bartolo Colon is the only all-star worthy guy on a 52-37 A's team.

I think McCutcheon is the only Pirate and they have the best record in baseball. Probably should be more than 1 out of around 80 players from the top team out of 30 teams.

    thats the problem with:

    1) the fan vote
    2) eveyr tema needing a player
    3) the game being for home field advantage

the fan vote is a popularity contest, eveyr team needing a player means the best players do not always go (see am,rk redman in 2005 i think) and home field advatange means managers will pick the best overall players, not necessarily the players having the ebst years

and who form that team doesn't deserve to go? especially since it's only 2 pitchers which is what effects kuroda. schezer is 13-0 with a sub 1 whip (second lowest in the AL) and verlander is verlander who no manager in their right mind would pass up on adding to the roster if the game means something

basically the guys tkaen ove rkuroda where (since they are the otehr starters):

    schezer - already explained
verlander - come on, he's verlander
king felix - same as verlander
    colon - a's only player
chris sale - sub 3 era and sub 1 whip
Hisashi Iwakuma - best whip in the league
yu darvish - leads the AL in strike outs while similar numbers to kuroda
justin masterson - better record, more innings, more strike outs

kuroda would have been nice to go, but i can see why he did not make it
