Wow, fire Hammonds already. I'm sure Kohl is whispering in his ear that we need to stay competitive but OJ Mayo is not the kind of player this team needs. Another selfish outside player, I do like him a little better than Ellis but I'm guessing he gets at least what Reddick did.

Here come the Bucks...once again forfeiting a chance at a good draft pick in order to finish with the 8th seed and a mediocre draft pick.

RE.BUILD. I don't get it...who keeps changing their mind about the direction of the team Hammond or Kohl.

You draft the youngest player in the draft in Tobias Harris only to ultimately trade him for 2 2nd round picks. We once again pick up the youngest player in the draft in the Greek Freak but now we're going to splurge on Kyle Korver, OJ Mayo, and who knows what else...

But hey...at least we haven't signed Jennings thus far.

Please do not sign Mr. Jumpshot to anything more than 3 years 18 million. Never seen a guy more afraid to attack the rim.

I don't see how Mayo is better than Tyreke or more intriguing, but if you are a person who wants the bucks contending for the playoffs this year its a decent signing.

O.J. Mayo nearing deal with Bucks

    .....
    .

Free agent guard O.J. Mayo is closing in on a multiyear contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The deal could be completed as soon as today, league sources said.

Mayo, 25, would be a replacement for the loss of guard J.J. Redick and the expected departure of Monta Ellis.

Mayo averaged 15.3 points and 4.4 assists for the Dallas Mavericks last season.

OJ Mayo and the Bucks are finalizing a deal. I'm told he asked for at least a four-year deal.

I actually like Mayo in a pairing with Jennings, who will most likely be the starting PG this upcoming season.

He can space the floor, he can create his own shot when needed, and he isn't useless on defense.

I could end up really liking this deal, depending on the numbers.

If I had to predict the offseason, I'd say

Jennings 5 years 40 million (don't think he'll get nearly what he's hoping for)
    Mayo 4 years 32 million
    Korver 3 years 20 million

Trade 2 2nd rounders for Danny Granger (salary dump)

That's my prediction. I don't like the Korver signing, but it looks likely to happen.

    PG- Jennings, Wolters, Smith
    SG- Mayo, Korver, Wolters
SF- Granger, Korver, Mbah Moute, Giannis
PF- Ersan, Henson, Udoh, Mbah Moute
    C- Sanders, Henson, Udoh, Gooden

Damn. As an outsider looking in.. it looked like the perfect time to rebuild.

I mean Milwaukee was one of the last places i thought Mayo & Korver would be linked to.

with Korver and OJ, the Bucks would have two of the better outside shooters in the league, although it is true not much for attacking the rim.
The two rookies are good passers, and not too greedy, at least yet.
For reference, Tyreke Evans was offered 4 yrs, 44 million.

That leaves us with a bunch of jump shooters and nobody to attack the rim.
