    The Official Puig-O-Mania Thread

Thought we should have one and only thought it appropriate to begin with this Grantland article...

    http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-tr...ike-trout-good

Anybody think he wishes he could take this back?

With that HR in last night's game, he officially became my favorite Dodger. Sorry, Kemp.

    My top five are:

    Puig
    Kershaw
    Hanley
    Kemp
    AGon

I said "Sorry Kemp" because at the start of this year he was my favorite. Dude just blows right now.

Puig is easily my favorite. Kershaw was before, but Puig gets the benefit of playing everyday.

    Favorites, in order:
    Puig
(He's pretty much the baseball version of Kobe right now - and I don't mean "Kobe right now". I mean a "must-see".)
    Kershaw
    Ethier
    Kemp
    Jansen
    Ramirez
    Gonzalez
    Rodriguez
    Fife

"...Bill Shaikin, who argues that Yasiel Puig, the Dodgers’ 22-year-old Cuban wunderkind, will not duplicate in 2013 the success that Mike Trout had across town in 2012 because Trout had more experience than Puig does now. Shaikin’s right, of course, but the real argument is much simpler: Nobody will do what Mike Trout did."

    - Michael Bauman from the Grantland article in the OP

Does anyone think he can continue this pace and outproduce Trout's 2012?

I've been waiting for it, but I still don't see the guy slowing down.

Honestly I thought they would've figured him out by now...not enough to shut him down, but enough to at least make him human. Shoot..they haven't even bright him down to super star level yet. The only person to compare his first month to is Joe freakin DIMAGGIO.
Frankly IMO his tools are to great to mitigate him making an impact on every game he plays. He will be as good or better than trout. Even when they nail down his weaknesses I think his wrists are just too strong and his bat speed too fast to make him an average hitter.
Three things I'm scared of that would hurt his potentially historic career: steroids, injury and an unbridled personal life.
Fernando Valenzuela, Troy Aikman & THE Earvin "Magic" Johnson

Hanley just wants to win, he is taking Puig under his wing. I think Hanley doesn't mind
