    Minor League Thread 7/01/2013

Montero having his issues at AAA.

5 innings allowed 7 hits and 4 runs.

    Last 3 starts 13 IP, 11 R, 20 H, 7 Walks.

Not at all what we are used to seeing from Montero, so he is having his first bumps on the road.

    Bashlor looks fantastic.

Only kidding, what he does this year matters little.

Montero had a typical Vegas start. The 2 walks are a little uncharacteristic though.

Ike Davis: 0-4 with 3 Ks. What else is new. Was facing an MLB caliber soft-tossing lefty in Surkamp tonight.

4 of Montero's 5 starts have been in unfriendly pitching environments. Hopefully there is a direct correlation.

i think Ike is done. I was big on him, but i cant see him being an everyday player anymore. Hes an all or nothing hitter has no balance at all. When he swings and misses it looks ugly and its usually at pitches no where near the strike zone he seems like a guess hitter. He will have streaks where he hits 8 HRs in a week weeks then he'll have months where he doesn't hit at all and doesn't even make contact with the ball
