Game 1 7:085 PM
RHP Jered Weaver (ERA 4.15 WHIP 1.26 BAA .253)
Scouting Report: Weaver bounced back from a three-game skid his last time out, allowing one run in seven innings but getting no-decision against Detroit. Home runs were an issue during the losing run, as he was tagged for four of them in the three losses.
RHP Lance Lynn (ERA 3.52 WHIP 1.16 BAA .217)
Game 2 7:05 PM
RHP Jerome Williams (ERA 3.21 WHIP 1.19 BAA .242)
Scouting Report: Lynn took a rare loss his last turn up, giving up a four-run inning in a 4-3 loss at Houston. While sporting a 4-2 record in road starts, Lynn's ERA is a worrisome 4.72 away from Busch Stadium this year.
Scouting Report: Williams has been stellar in starting duty, including matching Houston ace Bud Norris through 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball on Friday. He's getting back-to-back starts for the first time in nearly five weeks.
RHP Shelby Miller (ERA 2.79 WHIP 1.07 BAA .223)
Game 3 6:05 PM
RHP Joe Blanton (ERA 5.07 WHIP 1.47 BAA .305)
Scouting Report: A lack of fastball command led to Miller lasting only 1 2/3 innings against the A's on Friday. It was the shortest start of his career, and for the third time in his last four outings, Miller gave up at least four runs.
Scouting Report: Blanton has pitched substantially better of late, striking out 23 in his last 21 innings. He got his first win since May 23 and second of the season by beating the Astros with seven innings of three-hit ball on Saturday.
RHP Adam Wainwright (ERA 2.22 WHIP 0.99 BAA .242)
Scouting Report: Wainwright threw his fourth complete game Saturday vs. the A's, giving him 11 wins before the halfway point of the season. He continues to be efficient, reliable and routinely dominant as the ace of the Cardinals' rotation.
