    Poll: Guess Iglesias's slash stats from 6/22/13 - 10/01/15

Iglesias career since the start of 2011 puts me in mind of the Who song "Can you see the real me".

    We've got:

    a. ML prior to 2013 (83 PA's): .135/.210/.203
    b. AA & AAA 2011-13 combined (916 PA's): .244/.290/.292
    c: average of b & d: .270/.300/.325
    d: games between 6/23-7/1 (28 PA's): .296/.321/.333
    e: 2013 ML between 4/1 - 6/22 (117 PA's): .438/.487/.581

    Which will be closest?

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

    Well, #a and #e seem totally remote/unlikely. I'll go "c".

I'm going to vote "C." Honestly, I'd be ecstatic if he were to maintain the .270/.300/.325 slash line.

A .270 AVG would place him 5th among AL SS's, which isn't terrible, considering he could be one of the best fielding SS's in MLB. His OBP would be near the bottom and not many expect him to be a power hitter so the .325 sounds about right.

The Red Sox don't need him to be a top of the order hitter, I see him as a regular 8-9 hitter. I'll take that stat line out of a #9 hitter any day of the week.

I think he becomes an elite hitter for the SS position. And I also think he will eventually fail a drug test for PEDS

He's hitting for no power and has a 52% GB rate. He's not on PEDs. His BABIP is absurd thats it.

My pick is b. There is also the possibility that he gets suspended for sacrificing a live chicken before each game to the BABIP gods.

He's just pulling the poll's chain...

I wonder if that's a culturally insensitive statement? I think it is, but it's funny, so screw it.

Cool... we'd have the greatest hitter in ML history if it comes true.

I'll go with "c" being closest but honestly I think that it's a touch high. My guess is closer to .260/.315/.330

    I'm optimistic on Iggy.

    .296/.321/.333

I went with this. His batspeed it good, excellent contact. I think he'll hit more 2B playing in Fenway. He'll get cheap hits because he bust his tail out the box. Fenway is a good place to grab some extra hits to power his BA up a bit.

    Option C for me.
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.
