Past and present Home Run Derby

If you had to choose ten participants to be in a Home Run Derby, picking past and/or present players, who would you want to see?

Seeing past stars like Babe, Aaron, Griffey, Bonds go up against Stanton, Bellinger, Judge, etc. would be fun.

There are guys with great BP power (who were also solid players) that dont belong among the all time greats but would be fun to see in any home run derby.

Josh Hamilton is not an all time great for example but he may have put on the best show in home run derby history.

I mean josh Hamilton was a number one overall player, multiple time all star, an MVP and a really special player that has his peak cut short due to demons and his body breaking down. He was a special special talent.

He's not exactly a John bowker type like I think you're describing

No I'm just saying he's not an all time great. During his peak, he was certainly one of the best offensive players in baseball but he's not in the same class as Bonds, Ruth, Aaron, etc.

    Russell Branyan

I'd like to see a derby where distance means more and see how average to below average guys with huge power like Branyan would do against superstars.

I've seen Pence, as a Phillie, hit the platform in front of the Coke bottle at AT&T. I've never seen a ball hit that far in person. That's about 500 feet, or just under, from home plate.

Yeah not to troll but a guy like Dave Kingman would have been great to see in a home run derby. Even players like Richie Sexson or Adam Dunn.

I've thought the homerun derby has been pretty pointless and boring for a while (I think because I've gotten older and just don't care, not due to any changes), but I think I'd be a lot more likely to watch if they had the top 10 hitting pitchers do a homerun derby. I think it would be more fun to watch a bunch of players hit some big homeruns that you don't really expect to.
