I already voted 115 times lol.

Wright is hitting .309/.390/.533 right now. That's a stud right there.

I wouldn't call him a superstar. He should start the All-Star game. But on a contender, he's probably the third best bat in a lineup.

Third best on the team behind Cabrera and Trout?

There's some kind of synchronicity here; I'm used to being told to go back to the Mets forum. LOL.

In the event that you're serious, no.

I don't know how a top 3 third baseman (at times the best one) the last 8 years is not a superstar.

Over the last year and a half Wright only trails Mike Trout and Miguel Cabrera as far as fWAR goes.

"Superstar" is a rather meaningless subjective term IMO.

But Wright needing to be "the third best bat" on a contender is crazy talk. Contrary to what some like to say, Wright was the 1-2 best hitter on the team the years the Mets were contenders Right now (based on recent yrs) the only team he'd probably be considered definitively the 3rd best hitter on is the Tigers (though he's having a better year than Fielder)....maybe the Angels if you want to give Pujols the benefit of the doubt.

    Adam Rubin ‏@AdamRubinESPN

All is right in the world:
    David Wright, 2,917,819
    Pablo Sandoval, 2,788,988
    David Freese, 1,728,322
    C Johnson, 1,008,552
    A Ramirez, 881,559

Too bad Met fans are horrible and don't care about Wright.

If you were to place Wright on this year's Tigers' team and put him in the three hole with Miggy and Fielder hitting right behind him he would see better pitches than he does with this Mets team. He is an incredible hitter who teams have no reason to pitch to with the players that surround him on this Mets team.
