    A's @ Mariners (6/21-6/23)

    @

    Game 1
    Friday, June 21

    _________
    Bartolo Colon__________Hisashi Iwakuma

A's: Colon has won his only start against the Mariners this season on June 16. He allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings pitched. He's 5-2 with a 3.12 ERA on the road. Colon is 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA in three June starts
Other guys: Iwakuma allowed four runs in five innings to snap his streak of 31 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run. The five innings matched his shortest outing of the season, as he fell to 7-2 on what has otherwise been an All-Star-caliber season.

    Game 2
    Saturday, June 22

    _________
    Dan Straily__________Aaron Harang

A's: Straily took a no-decision during his last start against the Rangers on Monday, allowing six runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings. He lost his only start against the Mariners this season, giving up six runs on six hits in five frames.
Other guys: The veteran right-hander has two complete-game shutouts in his last five starts, but also has been roughed up several times, including his last outing in Anaheim when he gave up 12 hits and four runs in five innings.

    Game 3
    Sunday, June 22

    _________
    Jarrod Parker__________Jeremy Bonderman

A's: Parker is 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA over four starts in June. He's 2-3 with a 3.86 ERA in six road starts and 1-1 against the Mariners this season. He won his last outing at Safeco Field.
Other guys: Bonderman has pitched well in his first Major League action since 2010, allowing just two runs over his last 20 innings against the Yankees, Astros and Angels. He's taken no-decisions his last two starts when the bullpen blew late leads.

Three homeruns in the game already. Maybe the fences moved in at Safeco really did help...

That was the weirdest play. Passed ball where Norris kind of lazily went after it, then the runner tried to go 1st to 3rd. No dice. It was weird though, almost like Norris forgot there was a baserunner or thought the play was dead or something.

Good win for the A's.... the first game was very important after a rough series in Texas. Good to see Cespy showing some power, and hopefully it gets him rollin.

It sucks that we're facing all these righties right when Jaso gets banged up. He's so much better with the bat than Norris and this would have been his time to shine.
