    Big series boys

    Nick Tepesch, RHP

    3-6, 4.30 ERA
Tepesch dropped his third straight decision Wednesday against the Indians. The rookie right-hander is 0-2 in his last three starts with a 5.40 ERA.

    Yu Darvish, RHP

    Stats

    Tommy Milone, LHP

    Stats
    6-6, 3.61 ERA

Milone deserved a better outcome than a loss on Friday, when he limited the Mariners to two runs on just five hits with four strikeouts and three walks in 6 2/3 innings. He's allowed two runs or less in half of his starts this season.

    Justin Grimm, RHP

    Stats
    5-5, 5.59 ERA

Grimm is 0-2 with an 11.40 ERA in his last three starts. He lost his last outing, against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing seven runs in 7 2/3 innings. He lost his only start against the A's this year, allowing five runs in five innings.

    A.J. Griffin, RHP

    Stats
    5-6, 3.93 ERA

Griffin pitched well against the Mariners on Saturday, outside of a surprising grand slam off the bat of Henry Blanco, and he has now allowed exactly four runs in four of his last five starts.

    Josh Lindblom, RHP

    Stats
    0-2, 5.94 ERA

Lindblom will make his fourth start this season. He lost his last outing Saturday against the Blue Jays, allowing four runs on five hits in six innings. Right-handed hitters are 3-for-21 against Lindblom in three starts.

I feel confident about this series... we tend to play the Rangers really well. Then with the Rangers struggling and the A's flying high, you just never know, we could potentially sweep!

A's should be ashamed of that loss. Scoring 7 runs and losing to a team that's scored 8 runs in 6 games is unacceptable

I'm upset with this loss. I'm so disappointed with Straily's work tonight
