Other guys: After not picking up a victory in his first seven starts this season, Axelrod has posted wins in each of his last three trips to the mound. The right-hander didn't have his best stuff on Sunday but still gave the White Sox a chance to win.A's: Colon earned the win Sunday after allowing no runs on nine hits and no walks with nine strikeouts against the Astros. The veteran right-hander has issued just four walks in 61 1/3 innings this season.

Other guys: Even one run allowed by Quintana on Monday night against the Cubs would have been one too many with the dominance shown by Jeff Samardzija. Quintana gave up four on four hits over six, including Julio Borbon's homer.A's: Straily is coming off back-to-back fine outings. After his latest one, he said he's found his confidence again. Even when he had a high ERA, "I didn't feel like a seven-ERA pitcher," he said Monday.

Other guys: Sale gave up a homer to Welington Castillo on Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field, but yet kept his 23-inning scoreless streak intact. Sale's start was rained out in the bottom of the third, but he's staying on his regular turn.A's: Parker allowed two runs against the Giants in his last outing, scattering five hits over seven innings. The right-hander, who grew up a White Sox fan, is 3-2 with a 3.99 ERA in his last six starts after starting the year 0-4 with an 8.10 ERA.
