    Pitching Matchups

Friday, May 24, 7:10 PM ET, Citi Field - SNY

    Kris Medlen RHP (1-5, 3.02) - Jeremy Hefner RHP (0-5, 5.00 ERA)

MEDLEN: Medlen dug deep for his highest pitch count of the season his last time out, throwing 112 pitches over seven frames in a 3-1 win against the Dodgers. He is 3-0 against the Mets as a starter, with a 1.58 ERA in 15 career appearances.
HEFNER: Hefner, 0-5 this year with a 5.00 ERA in nine games (eight starts), will give it another go on Friday against the Braves. It's his first time facing first-place Atlanta this year.

Saturday, May 25, 7:15 PM ET, Citi Field - FOX

Mike Minor, LHP (5-2, 2.78 ERA) - Dillon Gee, RHP (2-5, 6.04 ERA)

MINOR: Minor struck out a season-high nine batters in his last start against the Dodgers, throwing six innings before a rain delay. He is 3-1 in seven career starts against the Mets, but he was tagged for two home runs in a no-decision on May 3 in Atlanta.
GEE: Gee, just 2-5 with a 6.04 ERA this season, took positive steps in his last start against the Cubs. He allowed three runs in five innings and struck out six.

Sunday, May 26, 8:05 PM ET, Citi Field - ESPN

Julio Teheran, RHP (3-1, 3.99 ERA) - Shaun Marcum, RHP (0-5, 6.59 ERA)

TEHERAN: Despite not having his changeup, Teheran took a shutout into the ninth inning and threw a career-high 123 pitches in a 5-1 win over the Twins on Monday. He has walked just two batters over his last five starts.
MARCUM: An obstruction call hurt Marcum last Monday against the Reds, though all four of the runs against him were earned. His last two starts have been his best of the season, a sign that he may finally be 100 percent healthy.

Marcum finds a way to get our first win, or Melden continues with no support and Hefner sneaks in a good game with the win. Gee is hosed no chance. First or last game.
