As I said in another thread that is still open, I hate when Wheeler and Thor pitch on the same day.

Wheeler has been shaky through 4 innings, i guess that's to be expected with the long layoff.

    4 1/3 IP, 5 hits, 3 ER, 2 Hrs, 2 BB, 1K..

Seems by the gametrack he's missing up in the zone a lot but the 51's have an 8-3 lead right now so he's in line for the win if he gets through this inning.

Good enough for Wheeler. I'd like to see more Ks, but at least he was effiecient in his 5 innings of work with only 67 pitches.

He doesn't have to set the world on fire. He just has to get through his next 2-3 starts without any glaring issues.

^^Yeah he was coming off the long delay in between starts and he was definitely up in the zone alot (usually an indication of a pitcher who is charged up or rusty).

He only walked 2 BB so that's a positive as well.

I read he hit 97mph on the gun. So that's a good sign. Hopefully he'll be up in a few starts.
