    Los Angeles Dodgers (17-22) @ Atlanta Braves (22-18) 5/17-5/19

    @

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Atlanta Braves

    Friday, 5/17 7:30 PM

    Hyun-Jin Ryu, LHP (4-2, 3.40 ERA)vsPaul Maholm, LHP (4-4, 3.94 ERA)

Ryu went 6 2/3 innings in his last start, allowing one run on five hits to beat the Marlins. The left-hander has gone at least six innings in eight outings, the only Dodgers starter to do so. The rookie has 51 strikeouts in 50 1/3 innings.

Maholm has allowed three runs or fewer in five of his first eight starts and at least six runs in his other two outings. A couple of defensive miscues hurt him as he allowed the Giants six runs in 4 1/3 innings Saturday.

    Saturday, 5/18 7:10 PM

    Chris Capuano, LHP (1-2, 6.60 ERA)vs Kris Medlen, RHP (1-5, 3.44 ERA)

Capuano earned his first win Sunday, striking out seven and allowing one run on five hits in 6 1/3 innings against Miami. The left-hander is 5-3 with a 2.75 ERA in 12 career appearances against the Braves, including 10 starts.

After producing two consecutive solid seven-inning efforts to start this month, Medlen matched a career high by allowing three homers in Sunday's loss to the Giants. He has allowed seven homers in his past six starts.

    Sunday, 5/19 1:35 PM

    Matt Magill, RHP (0-0, 6.92 ERA)vs Mike Minor, LHP (5-2, 2.75 ERA)

Magill will start in place of the injured Josh Beckett. He looked good in his Major League debut April 27, allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts against the Brewers. But he's allowed eight runs combined in his past two starts.

Minor has allowed a home run in each of his past four starts. But the lefty has not surrendered more than one run in either of his past two outings. He has compiled a 2.40 ERA in his past 23 starts dating back to July 5.

Braves 13-4 with J-hey...9-14 without him. Probably just a coincidence considering he wasn't performing much when he was with us anyway...but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy having him back.

We'll get him back and we're still in first place (albeit barely)...got to take it.

Likewise. Should be interesting at the very least...I'm still iffy with us against lefties.

Could be the first time this season we'll see all 8 projected starters on the field at the same time. Interested to see how Fredi sorts out the lineup with everyone back.

My thoughts exactly, however, how we have been playing lately...I guess it really doesn't matter who is thrown out there.

We don't have to face Kershaw or Greinke that's just great, game number 1 is the key, since we seems to always win game 1 i think we should do well. After that game one the next two matchups looks very favorable for us, in fact since we are at home now i think a sweep is not out of the question. I'm i too greedy?

It just looks better with Heyward in there, hopefully he can get a hit or 2.
