15 people viewing the Sox forum within minutes of posting a Hawk Harrelson piece. At least we have some people here in our forum for a bit.

I would like to caveat my vote. I do not think he is the worst, but I do think he should be "he gone." That is why I chose the first poll option.

Well, my Grandpa's are dead so I guess they and Hawk do have something in common. Curious as to what good he brings to a Sox broadcast? Anything?

In all honesty, I want EVERYONE that was a part of the 2005 team gone, including Hawk. I am so sick of our fanbase holding on to that goddamn year. Sox don't need a rebuild -- they need a massive overhaul and organizational turnover.

Yeah, 2005 was a blessing the year it happened and a curse immediately afterward. The White Sox didn't win because of Ozzie or small ball or batting average or whatever. They won because of 4 pitchers having amazing career years and a really good defense. 2005 is becoming very stale, very fast and if people continue to cling to the team that was successful in 2005 due to a lot of unsustainable luck and desire to have more teams built in that mold, then White Sox fans are in for a lot of disappointment in the future.

No one model gives you an edge to win a championship. You need a team that maximizes run differential. Acquiring juan pierre's and jeff keppingers is not the way to do that.

I still don't hate the Keppinger pick up. You can only judge moves at the time they were done, which is why I think it's dumb people say Dunn is one of the worst ever. Honestly, 12M isn't that much in today's game. Pujols is going to make twice that for the next eight goddamn years. Now THAT is the worst ever.

My issue is more with how Keppinger is being used. Which I should have said. He's fine as a backup/utility guy, but he was penciled in as the starter as soon as he was acquired. If you want a team that wins, you don't start replacement players. I understand that Keppinger has been forced into starting with the Beckham injury, but for the love of god take him out of the second place in the order.

Don't forget they backed the Pujols deal up with giving Hamilton 5 years, 125 mil. More bad paper.

U.S. Cellular Field, where dumb baseball thoughts are embraced.
