I realize that...but there's no reason Gasol should be on the 2nd team, no matter who's voting for it.

I do think Noah's deserving if they're going with 2 C's, but not Chandler.

the fact that the Memphis Grizzlies this year have three players on the two teams, and the Bulls last year only had ONE (Luol Deng on the 2nd team) goes to show that I still hate these accolades. Although this year, they did get it right --- except for having not having one of Jrue Holiday, Thabo Sefolosha, or Jimmy Butler instead of Avery Bradley.

After thinking about it for a second and looking at the players getting votes, this would've been my voting:

    1st Team
    G - Jrue Holiday
    G - Tony Allen
    F - Lebron James
    F - Tim Duncan
    C - Joakim Noah

    2nd Team
    G - Mike Conley
    G - Andre Iguodala
    F - Paul George
    F - Larry Sanders
    C - Marc Gasol

    3rd Team
    G - Russell Westbrook
    G - Jimmy Butler
    F - Luol Deng
    F - David West
    C - Roy Hibbert

    Wrong:

    1st team:
    Thibs

    2nd team:
    Thibs

    3rd team:
    Thibs

Some players can be on the newly minted 4th team though.

And then. He made them pancakes.

I just don't see how votes went to Gasol over Noah for DPOY. i don't see what he does on defense individually that is so good, really. Jo is a better rebounder, shot blocker, steals more, better help defender, way more foot speed and stays in front of guards when he gets switched on the perimeter. What does Gasol do to be worthy of DPOY? I understand Jo missed the last month, but he still took 4th in the voting and played 66 games. Not like he only played half the season. Being voted first team all defense proves the ones who really know have the utmost respect for Jo.

Is there really a player or coach in the league who would pick Gasol over Noah as a better defender?
