    Cubs vs Rockies (5/13 - 5/15)

    ----
    15-22--------------------------------------------------20-17

    PROJECTED PITCHING MATCHUPS

    Monday, May 13th, 7:05PM CT
    ..
    .......VS.......
    Travis Wood......................................Juan Nicasio

Travis Wood:Wood has thrown seven consecutive quality starts to open the season, the first Cubs lefty to do so since Johnny Schmitz in 1948. Wood is one of four Cubs starters with an ERA under 3.09. He's 0-1 in three games (two starts) vs. the Rockies.

Juan Nicasio:Nicasio, with a couple of pitchers at Triple-A nipping at his heels, gave up a homer to the Yankees' Vernon Wells in the first inning but settled down and gave up just two runs and two hits in five innings of a no-decision in his last start.

    Tuesday, May 14th, 7:05PM CT
    ..
    .......VS.......
    Carlos Villanueva.........................................Jeff Francis

Carlos Villanueva:Villanueva notched his fifth quality start in his last outing, but did not get the win as the Cards rallied. He has left with the lead in five of his seven starts, but has one win. This will be his first career start vs. Colorado, 12th appearance.

Jeff Francis:Francis pitched four innings of two-run ball against the Yankees on Thursday before rain cut him short. In his five previous starts, he gave up four runs or more in five innings or fewer, but showed improved execution vs. New York.

    Wednesday, May 15th, 7:05PM CT
    ..
    .......VS.......
    Jeff Samardzija.........................................Jon Garland

Jeff Samardzija:Samardzija served up a season-high seven runs on eight hits over five innings in his last outing and dropped to 0-5 since Opening Day. He also made an error that led to two runs in a loss to the Nats. There's no problem with his hand, just location.

Jon Garland:Garland gave up a Carlos Beltran home run and held the Cardinals to three runs in five competitive innings, but the Rockies were one-hit by Shelby Miller in his last start and lost, 3-0.

Well the Rockies got one hit on back to back days by the cards so I expect them to score double digit runs on us

I wonder if there's anybody out there sitting around hoping for Barney to be locked-up long term next.
