    Tigers: Sanchez took the loss in his last start, last Wednesday vs. Minnesota. He surrendered five hits and three earned runs in six innings. He struck out 17 in an April 26 win over Atlanta and struck out nine against the Twins.

    Nationals: Zimmermann carries an 18-inning shutout streak into this Interleague start. He's allowed eight runs in 44 innings all season.



    Thursday @ 4:05 PM ET


    -Doug Fister (4-0, 2.48 ERA) vs. Dan Haren (3-3, 5.01 ERA)


    Tigers: Fister pitched six innings Friday night in Houston, but did not figure in the decision, a 4-3 comeback win by the Tigers. He gave up nine hits, but eight of them were singles, struck out four and walked one. Fister has won four of his six starts.

    Nationals: Haren has allowed three runs or fewer in his last five starts, with a 1.92 ERA in his last two starts, both wins.

    Feels good to beat a very good team plus team ERA continues to go down 3.45 now 6th in the majors.

    Yeah Detroit is no pushover. Nice to see this Nats team start to settle into their own right now. Thursday's game should be another good one (hopefully).

    Nice win and sweep of the Tigers gotta keep it up though with the Cubs coming to town though.
