Reds, Jonathan Broxton Agree To Deal

The Reds and Jonathan Broxton have reached agreement on a multi-year deal, sources told Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. The deal is believed to be for at least three years and an announcement is expected on Wednesday.

Resign Ludwick and call it a offseason of success. If Ludy wants a third year go get Youk for 2 years and move Frazier to left.

Trade, AAA, or maybe mid relief? Be nice to keep him around in case of injury or rest. He can pinch hit and run also. But maybe thats why they signed Redmond? Which makes Leake available for trade.

Thats funny! I couldn't figure out what you ment by sticky fingers ...then it hit me. I literally laughed out loud. I am ok with parting with him as long as we get a need in return and not jsut anybody. I think Span could be had for Leake as the main peice. They need pitching bad. Span is cheap as well.

Kevin Youkilis is an interesting idea. I'm sure he would love to play for the Reds, but I wonder how much $$$ he wants. If Rolen returns for another season having him and Youk at 3rd might work.

I honestly don't see the Reds trading Leake. I know the organization likes him. I could see them trading Bailey though. and after this year, his trade value is worth a lot more than in the past, and especially to a team that plays in a big ballpark

I just want to go on record as saying I love Jonathan Broxton's demeanor. He is calm, cool, and collected on the mound. At the same time he is as intimidating as they come due to his size. Now that he is locked up for the next 3 years I am going to call him "Big Ninja"

Quiet but deadly on the mound.
