"Kevin Love is considered the best power forward in the NBA. He was drafted by the Memphis Grizzles later traded on the same day to the Minnesota Timberwolves for OJ Mayo. He didn’t see much playing time as a rookie that’s what got Kurt Rambis fired. How do you not play a player with his potential? Kevin Love has established himself as an All Star in this league, and he is on the brink of super stardom. He just recently signed a four year contract extension for 62 million with an option to stay a fifth year evening out to 80 million if he stays.
Kevin Love is putting up numbers that haven’t been seen since Moses Malone. He has a 30 point 30 rebound game and a 3/20 game as well. He averaged 25 points and 16 rebounds last season. He won the 3 point contest at All Star Weekend last year. Kevin Love has stated “He will leave Minnesota if the Timberwolves don’t make the playoffs this year” Rumors are circulating he wants to be a Laker a team he grew up rooting for. He may not leave this off season or demand to be traded. He may wait a couple years and see when Kobe’s contract is up with the Lakers. Imagine him teaming up with Dwight Howard. That would be a nasty combination.
LeBron will be a free agent around that time as well. It’s crazy to think about but if the Lakers can coup LeBron James, acquire Kevin Love via sign or trade, and resign Dwight Howard after this season. That will be one loaded team, if not LeBron maybe Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving. The Lakers always seem to get what they want. It is not farfetched; I mean they did just sign a 20-year three-billion dollar contract with Time Warner Cable. That is an extra 150 Million Dollars a year in revenue. Luxury Tax will not be an issue. The Lakers sell out all the time, they also make 7 to 9 million each Home playoff game. A dream scenario for Lakers fans is on the horizon."
Not the newest of news. But a possibility to look forward to.
