    One Backup

Someone on NFL network during the draft said something ridiculous along the lines of you're only as good as your backup qb. So if your qb goes down and you have to win the game in the 4th what back up would you take?

    Kyle Orton
    David Carr
    Nick Foles
    Ryan Lindley
    Tyler Thigpen
    Matt Moore
    Ryan Mallett
    Tim Tebow
    Scott Tolzein
    Matt Flynn
    Kellen Clemons
    Brock Osweiler
    Matt Cassel
    Brady Quinn
    Matt Leinert
    Jason Campbell
    Shaun Hill
    Grahm Harrell
    Joe Webb
    Tyrod Taylor
    Bruce Gradkowski
    Colt McCoy
    Charlie Batch
    Luke McCown
    Derek Anderson
    Chase Daniels
    Dan Orvlosky
    TJ Yates
    Drew Stanton
    Blaine Gabbert
    Charlie Whitehurst

Tebow. He's just a winner. Plus he's magic.

    Shaun Hill.

Might be a homer pick but he's been pretty solid during his tenure here. He doesn't have the biggest arm in the world but he does do enough to help win some games. Even with the weapons the Lions have the season would be a loss if Stafford got hurt but I think Shaun would be capable enough able to win a few games.

Drew Stanton. I feel like he is a low end starter type QB who would thrive in a limited role and would not hurt a teams chance of winning,

I can tell you who I'd take Tebow over.

    Kyle Orton
    David Carr
    Nick Foles
    Ryan Lindley
    Tyler Thigpen

    Matt Moore
    Ryan Mallett
    Tim Tebow
    Scott Tolzein
    Matt Flynn
    Kellen Clemons
    Brock Osweiler
    Matt Cassel
    Brady Quinn
    Matt Leinert
    Jason Campbell
    Shaun Hill
    Grahm Harrell
    Joe Webb
    Tyrod Taylor
    Bruce Gradkowski

    Colt McCoy
    Charlie Batch
    Luke McCown
    Derek Anderson

    Chase Daniels
    Dan Orvlosky
    TJ Yates
    Drew Stanton
    Blaine Gabbert
    Charlie Whitehurst

But clearly Tebow isn't good enough to be in the NFL.

He forgot my favorite. The falcons backup is Dominique Davis. I bet he's like WAY better than Tebow and stuff. So mcuh potential

hell ill go with TJ Yates...lead Texans to the playoffs, and won a playoff game, as a rookie.

Remember him having a crisp arm and hopefully he's gotten smarter in reading D

    I'd go with Shaun Hill.

Because TJ Yates was obviously the reason why the Texans made the playoffs in 2011

don't you guys think that after several teams and different systems - all the retread QBs are let go of a reason and have a certain persona that has developed with rejection and the ability not to adapt, Jason Campbell last year for example? At some point isn't it more a safer bet to develop a QB from the draft or undrafted class and start fresh? Couldn't do much worse than McCown or Campbell last year or remember Haine or that waste of human skin Todd Collins.
