    2014's QB Draft Dud

Almost every year, there is a QB that is predicted to go in the 1st round the following year, and ends up as a late round pick or an UDFA. We had Tyler Bray this year; Jevan Snead and Andre Woodson are others that come to mind in recent years. So, with that being said, the QBs being projected by many as possible 1st rounders next year:

    Teddy Bridgewater
    Tajh Boyd
    Aaron Murray
    Johnny Manziel
    David Fales

Which of these guys do you think has his stock tank? Honestly, I think Fales is probably being highly overrated at this point. He's an interesting looking QB prospect no doubt, but he lost his LT and his leading rusher for 2014. I just think he's more likely to end up as a mid-late round flier than a franchise QB draftee.

look at his stats by game. kentucky is joke and couldnt even throw 1 td pass. i mean he struggled against uconn who had 4 draft worthy picks this year. he didnt exactly dominate Florida either which is arguebley the best team he faced. i just have the feeling hes gonna be another geno smith.

Who gives a **** whether or not he threw a TD pass against Kentucky? TDs are a product of team effort, not individual. He completed 90% of his passes in that game, and his team won handily! Yeesh.

Connecticut may have only had 5 players go in the draft, but the first 4 were defensive guys, they all went by round 4, and two of them were round 3 CBs. How many other schools have two upperclassmen CBs that are both round 3 or better prospects? Not very many.

I'm assuming you didn't watch much of that Florida game, because he downright pounded them into the ground. He didn't put up big number necessarily, but again, who gives a ****? Since when do college numbers translate directly to the pros? Louisville wasn't going to throw the ball just to throw the ball when they were in a dominant position for almost all of that game.

Sorry, but your logic is terribly shaky here. I was hoping you might come with something semi-substantial, but really this is pretty bad.

ill go with his lack of great passing Skills and is more of an athlete who can throw instead of a great passer who can run.

Those are just empty words. I can say "He has a plethora or great passing skills," but it doesn't mean anything. I haven't substantiated an argument, just created/re-stated one in that instance. What does he specifically lack in his passing repertoire?

I don't think Bridgewater or Boyd will see much of a draft stock change this year, but Fales has to be considered the guy with the most to lose...if he doesn't put up silly numbers again next year he'll be a 4th-6th rounder. I think Murray is a bit overrated (as an NFL prospect), and I'm not convinced he's going to be a first rounder anyways. What is he going to prove to teams this year that he didn't show last year? Have to imagine he would have declared if he had gotten even a 2nd-3rd round grade from the draft advisory board.

All you need to know about Bridgewater is on the Rutgers and Florida tape. Dude is a warrior and has straight up ridiculous touch on the ball.

To me, I think Manziel has the most to lose this year.

Manziel. Undersized with limited arm strength. Scouts also worry about his accuracy.

Don't forget about Derek Carr either, scouts like him.

Also if Logan Thomas figures out his issues he could be back in discussion as well.

I think it's going to be really hard to overlook Thomas' 2012 campaign. He was absolutely dreadful. The potential is there tho.

Manziel. His stock is going to blow up even more or drop based on the year he has in the upcoming season. Then his stock will rise early post season, then drop after a bunch of off-field stuff comes out. Then either go up or down again based on interviews. And thats if he manages to stay out of real trouble. He's the QB on that list most likely to be arrested, though admittedly I don't know much about Fales other than backing up Kaepernick at Nevada before transferring to wherever he is now

Manziel. It's not close. I don't think he even goes round 1.

I always I hope nobody takes the Teddy bashing in this thread seriously. It's so off base I'd guess the person saying it hasn't seen him play.
When I asked how a Manziel fan could bash Bridgewater's size.
