Maddon's Tampa Bay Gnomes (9-11) vs. Ventura's "Ace" Sox (8-12)

Tampa Bay (10-11) @ Chicago White Sox (8-12)

US Cellular Field - Chicago, IL.

    April 25, 2013 @ 7:10PM CSN

    Jeremy Hellickson
    (1-1 3.55 ERA, 0.99 WHIP)

Hellickson has been solid if not good all year. His last outing versus the A's saw him goign 7 innings and giving up no runs with 6 K's. Each start this season he has improved his pitching performances for the Rays and lowered his ERA each time as well. He has one career start vs the Sox lifetime going 5.2 innings, giving up 2ERs.

    vs.

    Chris Sale
    (1-2, 4.50 ERA, 4.28 FIP, 1.15 WHIP, 7.96 K/9)

The left-hander is coming off a 103 pitched outing vs the Jays in which he went 7 innings giving up 2 ER. He has been plauged by poor run support (as are all of the starters this season) but it appears Sale hasn't really gotten it going since his opening day start. Outside of his poor start start vs the Tribe two starts ago he has been rather good.

    April 26, 2013 @ 7:10PM WCIU "DA U!"

    Roberto Hernandez
    (1-3, 4.74 ERA, 1.3 WHIP)

Hernandez produced his best start in his last outing vs Oakland. In the three games previously Fausto Carmona showed up and allowed 12 ER over 18.2 innings. He has 16 career starts vs the Sox with a 5.48 ERA, 1.46 WHIP lifetime.

    vs.

    Jake Peavy
    (2-1, 3.20 ERA, 1.14 WHIP)

Peavy last time out faced the Twins and produced his 3rd quality start of the season. His strikeouts and pitching has been top notch again this season so far and looks to continue his pitching trend against a Rays team that isn't a strong bunch of hitters. In 3 career starts vs the Rays he has a 7.41 ERA.

    April 27, 2013 @ 6:10PM CSN

    Matt Moore
    (4-0, 1.04 ERA, 0.92 WHIP)

Moore has been outstanding so far this season for the Rays. His last start was against the Yankees where he went 8 innings giving up only 1 run. Moore has gotten better each season he has been in the league and looks to be only improving this season. In two career starts he has a 1.46 ERA over 12.1 innings.

    vs.

    Gavin Floyd
    (0-3, 4.98 ERA, 1.62 WHIP)

Gavin has been all over this season. One start he looks to be dominating hitters for a few innings then finally has a bad inning giving up runs or the lead. His past three starts he has walked 3 guys in each game and has pitched erratically. Since 2010 he has pitched 4 starts against the Rays with a 2.08 ERA in 26 innings.

    April 28, 2013 @ 1:10pm WGN

    David Price
    (0-2, 5.52 ERA, 1.42 WHIP)

Price has pitched in 5 Rays losses this season and looks to be a tough luck pitcher so far. The Rays lack of offense has led to lost opportunities in ever other game this season. Outside of the two games versus the Tribe and Orioles he has pitched 20 innings with a 2.70 ERA and 17 K's.

    vs.

    Dylan Axelrod
    (0-1, 3.80 ERA, 1.36 WHIP)

Axelrod has been good this season outside of his start against the Nationals. Axelrod likely would have won a game or two if the Sox offense had given his some support. In his last outing he pitched against the Tribe giving up 1 run over 6 innings.

Every time I see Da Sox's sig, I think Don Cooper looks like Jack Nicholson's Joker from the older set of Batman movies with Michael Keaton.

Has anyone see the recent articles and reports on Joe Maddon bringing in birds to the Tampa clubhouse (cockatu and a penguin)?

Might win tonight. Might win Friday. Probably not both.

    We'll lose Saturday and Sunday.

    1 out of 4.

If you guys are unaware of how all this started B&B show on 670TheScore has been covering the story since it started.

Basically Hawk first ranted about SABR a week to 10 days ago during a game. Brian Kinney who does the show on MLB Network with Harold Reynolds heard Hawks rant and blasted him on his show. Someone told Hawk about Kinney's rebuttal and Hawk basically just dismissed it and said he likes Kinney but doesnt agree with SABR.

So Kinney invited Hawk on the show yesterday and they basically had it out as seen in SexiAlexi's post.
