    Atlanta Braves (13-5) @ Colorado Rockies (13-5) 4/22-4/24

    @

    Atlanta Braves @Colorado Rockies

    Monday, 4/22 8:40 PM

Mike Minor, LHP (2-1, 0.95 ERA) vs Jeff Francis, LHP (1-1, 8.25 ERA)

Despite limiting the Royals to one run in six innings on Wednesday, Minor suffered his first loss in a span of 10 starts dating back to Aug. 25. The southpaw has compiled a 2.00 ERA in his past 18 starts.

Rockies are 2-1 in his starts, but Francis has struggled in his past two outings. Most recently, he gave up nine hits and eight runs (six earned) in 4 1/3 innings Tuesday in the second game of a doubleheader against the Mets.
    Tuesday, 4/23 8:40 PM

Julio Teheran, RHP (0-0, 7.31 ERA) vs Jon Garland, RHP (2-0, 3.32 ERA)

Teheran has proven inconsistent through each of his first three starts. The 22-year-old primarily threw fastballs while squandering three leads during Thursday's five-inning outing in Pittsburgh.

Garland became the first Rockies starter to pitch seven innings this season when he held the Mets to six hits and two runs in an 11-3 victory Thursday. With the win, he improved to 2-0.

    Wednesday, 4/24 3:10 PM

Tim Hudson, RHP (2-1, 4.50 ERA) vs TBA

After allowing six runs in four-plus innings against the Pirates on Friday, Hudson will be making his second attempt to notch his 200th win. He is 0-2 with a 8.04 ERA in five career starts at Coors Field.

I figured I'd put it up...will update once it's known who pitches game 3.

One thing is for certain. It's going to be cold and it might even snow....another chance to see if Atlanta can perform in October like conditions...need to be able to pitch and hit in the cold.

Time for this offense to really bust out and score THREE runs. Lead the way, Dan!

2 out of 3 would be nice. I've got a feeling Teheran is going to give up a crap ton of homers though.

Him and minor for me. both fly ball pitchers...a hot (and currently) undefeated rockie team at home...going to be cold...this could get ugly. Or fun..considering if you like offense.

Is it also odd that the one series we let Gerald Laird catch (he caught 3 out of the 4 games). we ended up losing? And the one game he didn't catch our pitching gave up the fewest runs?

I wonder if the mystic powers of Gattis would be so great that even it is even too much for Colorado...

    One way to find out.

David Carpenter is on our flight back to the ATL. He's'the one going down to make room for Freeman as Fredi said yesterday.
