Does anyone miss steroids in baseball?

I know a lot of people are against steroids because it is cheating or it is the wrong thing to do and it sets a bad and unhealthy example for kids, but does anyone else miss what it brought to the game from an entertainment standpoint?

I know many traditionalists hate what it did to the numbers and fell that it cheapened the game, but does anyone else miss roided up monsters like Bonds hitting 50 homeruns a season?

Isn't the Home Run rate so far this year one of the best in history?

I'm assuming it is since you are saying that, but the days of the individual monster totals are in the past it would seem

    I don't...

I honestly like the old style of baseball more, conversely.

Saying that, there is still a steroid presence in baseball, just not to the extent it used to be perceptually.

8-7 games with a lot of home runs entertain me. But so do 2-1 games with great pitching and defense. I don't see why one particular style is more entertaining than the other if you're someone who truly loves baseball.

So no, I don't miss them. The game has not gotten any better or worse for me since the early 2000's. I still watch as many games now as I did then.

Watch out for Chris Davis though. Could be on his way to 60 home runs. He just hit one 444 feet today.

...and the O's starting lineup will probably start the All-Star Game.

444 feet and he didn't even come out of his shoes. This is the strongest man in the MLB period.

No. But I also don't think it 'almost ruined the game'

But no way do I miss it. Only casual fans don't like watching pitching duels or guys like Harvey vs Strasburg.

Davis is not going to hit 60 homers this year and he doesn't even have the best ISO (isolated power) in the league this year nor did he have it last year (he was 19th).

This year those honors belong to Justin Upton and Lucas Duda is 2nd with Davis third.
