    NY Jets 2013 QB situation

I believe that as long as Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez are the Head Coach and the starting QB respectfully, it will remain that way.

Last year proved that Rex is stubborn, so why would would anybody think that he would put anyone else in if they were tanking? What are your thoughts?

Rex is on a short leash and knows that regardless of what he says. If Mark is the best chance at winning then so be it, but competition is something during camp that Mark has never had. Lets see where this goes before making any kind of judgements.

Why is this a thread? Obscure random thoughts do not a thread make.

As long as Tebow is on the roster, he will stay on it.

I think what he was saying is (as this is how I feel) we get excited when there is a new thread...however, implied is that the thread maker deems it worthy and should in fact develop a well defined thought, or post some sort of argument supported and elaborated on.

To be frank - I don't come here to read one sentence or less than a sentence statements. I come here to talk some ****ing football with people who can analyze and breakdown the game.

While the OP succincts his statements nicely and got his point across in two sentences - what he posted could easily been hidden in the "...really..mark is 3rd QB thread" and no one would have known the difference.

Which really translates into 75% of threads created on this site are BS - as most could roll into other more generalized threads which would narrow the overall thread count to like 5 rather than 20 which to me would be way ****ing easier to manage!

I was merely trying to spark a debate about the upcoming QB situation. If Mark Sanchez does well next year, then this topic is null and void. The question is: if Mark Sanchez repeats his terrible play, will Rex start another QB?

Last year is proof that he was not willing to change his mind until the Jets were completely out of the playoffs. Is David Garrard good enough to challenge Mark Sanchez or even Tim Tebow? He had some decent years with the Jags, but that was years ago. Tim Tebow wasn't able to get any rhythm last year, but I thought that the throws that he did make were a lot better than what people give him credit for.

I think that as long as Rex is the head coach; Mark Sanchez will start. There weren't many QB's worse than Sanchez last year, but he started a majority of the games anyway. Nobody in the history of employment has a man been as bad at his job as he has and kept it for as long as he has. Once Rex is out of here, Mark will not be far behind him

I disagree....I think Sanchez I on a Very short leash...(ie if he picks up right where he left off he will be done)..assuming he even wins job.

Agreed, if Sanchez ***** the bed we have garrard and McElroy to start. Personally I think Sanchez will do better, but it's hard to play worse then last year. Question is will "better" be good enough for us.

Sanchez, Garrard and McElroy are all still in the dirt until we have healthy lineman.

Tebow needs to suck it up and take his place next to Kirk Herbstreit for the next 25 years.
