The 4/3 defense and darren Mcfadden

Rotoworld is reporting DA has confirmed raoch will be the Mike, in our 4/3, so once again the 3/4 nonsense is quashed yet again.
And That Darren Mcfadden will be a true featured back in our PBS in 2013, so you can let out your breath stork, its over once again...a lot earlier this year though huh?

All that tells me is that he has no trade value and we're stuck with him for one final year. I'll still bet that someone yet to be acquired leads this team in rushing this year.

If McFadden stays healthy I expect a very good year from him. I like his potential in 2013. I do not like his potential beyond that.

I'm looking for DMC to put a good 12 game season together!! he'll tear it up for 6!! with McInjury we will always need a capable RB2. i ask myself why this year would be different, can't come up with anything besides, in a contract year, he might take pain meds.

As we know DA and Tarver want to run multiple alignments on D, 3-4 is not non-sense, but DA views it as situational. Will be interesting to see how the roster develops.

Not even in a contract year.

I hope we can draft Franklin form UCLA in the later rounds. Has anyone seen where he is expected to be drafted?

After 5 years we should be discussing his accomplishments, or the lack thereof, not his potential. Potential is what you see in high school, college and in a rookie season. After 5 years there should be results. I agree with Stork, there is no interest in him from other teams and for good reason.

It's hard to predict for him. Before the combine I was seeing 5-UDFA. After the combine, I've seen him projected to go in the 2nd round, while I've still seen him go in the 5th round.

Franklin is a late round prospect that WILL make an impact in the league. I would love RM to draft him. Hard worker, leader, durable, breakaway speed, can catch the ball out of the backfield, and a decent pass protector. What's not to like?

Franklin is floating from late second all the way to early fourth.

    Thats insane,
he had the best 40 time of any of the legit prsopects(4th overall) and he is an all time yardgae leader @ a school with over 100 years of Football history.
Hes in my mock for us in the third, and if somehow he IS a Raider, then Stork may be right about yardage leader.

You missed my point, and you don't know that there was not any interest. McFadden is entering his contract year. Its a smart move by Reggie to hang on to him. He has everything to play for in 2013. Maybe the Raiders can salvage some of the money they invested into him because he has everything to play for next season. Let him have a career year and then let him sign with another team, meanwhile the Raiders can seek his replacement in this years or next years draft.

    Said 2009.

The dude has been wasting a roster spot and cap space for years. Running backs are a dime a dozen. DMC's 15 seconds of fame were used up long ago.

I've been saying both of these things all offseason. I'm glad DA has at least a little bit of sense.

Sio Moore and David Bass fishin' for sacks in the Silver and Black
