Are the Penguins the Bruins Kryptonite?

Sorry cheesy tittle I know lol. I missed the game earlier today but saw the score and was shocked the Bruins lost 2-1 to the same team that beat them a few nights ago, by a score of 3-2 after coming back and winning. This is the second time in 4 days? that Pittsburgh as beaten the Bruins. I don't get it yesterday they were dominant against Washington and yet play like crap against Pittsburgh. Thoughts. Please keep this friendly One more thing if the playoffs started today and these two teams played each other in the first round, who would have the upper hand Boston or Pittsburgh? I know Pittsburgh would be the (#1 seed and would play the 8th seed) and Boston the (#4 seed would play the #5 seed) but lets just say they did play each other.

For starters, no, they are not the Bruins kryptonite.

In the first game the Bruins played a tough game against the Senators the night before. I believe the plane got into Pittsburgh at 4AM. They got the two goal lead and then self-admittedly took their foot off of the gas, probably because they were so gassed. The Penguins scored 3 goals in the last 7 minutes (approximately) of the game and won. It was an ugly loss but should have been a win.

Yesterday's game the Bruins gave up a terrible second goals - the puck dropped out of Rask's glove and the Pens were there to score. The Bruins had other chances in the game, most notably Seguin's wrap-around that went straight across the goal line. I can deal with a couple of 1 goal losses to the highest scoring team and the team with the two highest point-getters in the NHL (IIRC). The Bruins now only have one game in hand against Montreal...would love to win the division.

Also, Pittsburgh is a hell of a lot better than Washington.

In a potential match-up with the Penguins I think the Bruins win that series. I'm not sold on the Penguins goal tending, Fleury and Vokoun are meh. A lot of Pittsburgh's goals against the Bruins have been mental mistakes by the Bruins (Seids' pass right to the Penguins forward in the first game.) The Bruins can hang with any team in the league...

So was I. Wasn't a very good matchup at all for Pittsburg. They lost their **** when they didn't score for two periods.

I had a feeling they would meet in the PO's but I did not expect that outcome
