Let’s face it, the Rangers need some juice.

Have they bottomed out with three straight losses in regulation for the first time this season? Sure, there was that late February four-gamer, but one was in a shootout, so I’d say so.

Last year, the Blueshirts got some positive energy and production from Chris Kreider, and in my opinion, it’s time to summon him again. He’s the best offensive player down in Hartford, and it won’t cost them anything. They have spare Ds in Matt Gilroy and Stu Bickel; they can send one down if necessary. Torts seems to like Micheal Haley, but his future is probably contingent on when Arron Asham (back) returns.

And maybe the Rangers pull the trigger on Mats Zuccarello again if the trade market is less than appealing. They need points against the Hurricanes, New Jersey, on Monday and Tuesday after a day off tomorrow. Kreider and Zuccarello and Miller might actually be a productive third line. At this stage, Taylor Pyatt and Brian Boyle and Darroll Powe don’t have to play every game. They need some people to put pucks in the net.
    Fast.

I think they could help or at least make the games a little less boring.

Once Messier was brought in as VP to Sather and Keenan came along with him, the rumor that started was that once Sather left and Messier took over, Torts would be gone and Keenan would be in. How much time does Sather have left on his deal?

I do not know what Slats deal is. He may stay as long as he wants. I know some people dislike him but I can not think of any GM/Executive I'd rather have on the Rangers.

The Rangers need a time machine to get their **** together before season started.

Mike Keenan isn't in touch with todays game. If that's Mark Messier's solution then maybe Mark needs Slats to hang around for a while longer. IMO if Torts is canned it will only be because they will offer the job to Lindy Ruff and I'd be ok with that.

I'd also like it if when they did recall him if they took Newbury with him as the two of them seem to be playing well together in CT. The two of them have already built some chemistry and Miller played with them before being recalled as well and that could be an instant line to use as a third if we haven't signed Zuccarello.

I'd probably leave CK in the AHL for now. I do not like yanking guys back and forth too much. The team should sign Zooks ASAP. There are a handful of guys that may not even score 15 points this season. JT had that 2 goal game but he has not scored in any other games so he may have to be looked at as well if he does not start producing.

    Really?
Pitt has dedicated their season to getting shutouts. I think Sam Rosen has mentioned it in every game this season.

I think Torts may have worn out his welcome also but the talent on this team is not playing up to par and that's why they suck right now.

Keenan last coached in 2009 and was a conference finalist. What are talking about he's not in touch with today's game.

Don't you see him on the coaches corner, with that big smirk on his face whenever Torts gets asked a question---especially when Torts gets a question about certain plays in a game and line-ups.

Mike Keenan coached a Calgary team that was supposed to be a cup contender to 2 first round knock outs. He wasn't a conference finalist in either of those years and was fired with a year left on his contract. THAT'S what I'm talking about.
