Seems right, I could see Bonifacio taking over at 2B early into the season though.

Nice mis-leading thread title... I thought maybe final team was announced lol
Kramer Champlin scared the "Devil" right out of the Tampa Bay Rays' team name.
Kramer Champlin once struck out 27 batters in a game... using wiffle balls.

I think Thole stays. I prefer having the extra LH bat on the bench . Plus you have only 2 of 7 relievers that are LH , Oliver and Cecil ( and he has looked lousy this ST)

Loup ( 1.R in 7 innings and that was a HR., 0.BB and 7.SO) has been far more effective than Cecil ( 8 R in 11 innings, 6.BB and 13.SO) and should be on the roster with or without Cecil.

To make room for Loup, I'd put Rogers down, he's been butt awful.

Yes these are small samples, but as boring as ST has been, the real games start in 12 games.

    that's a joke right?

Things will always work out in the end, but if you want them to turn out a certain way... You need to make it happen.

Yankees Teixera is likely going to miss the season to, wow.

This division is slowly opening a nice door for us, can you imagine a playoffs without either yankees or Boston and Rays and Jays the 2 AL East teams making it lol. Times have changed, lets do this..

I don't think Cecil will make the team. I think he will either be traded for AAA depth or put on waivers.

Janssen might also start the season on the DL.

Everything seems right, except for the Bullpen

    MLB: Delabar (R), Santos (R), Oliver (L), Jeffress (R)/Rogers (R), Loup (L), Schwimer (R), Janssen (R), Happ (L)

    AAA: Happ (L), Cecil (R), Lincoln (R), Moscoso (R), Rogers (R)/Jeffress (R), Stroman (R), Bush (R)

I don't know which of Jeffress/Rogers have the option, but Rogers has pitched horribly this spring. And Loup has been great this ST, and deserves a spot. If Happ ain't happy starting in Buffalo, I guess he could be the long man out of the pen.

I remember AA saying he wants Thole as a starting catcher. Won't happen in Toronto. I'd expect him to start in Buffalo.

Oh so we're deciding who deserves roster spots based on ~6 innings apiece now. That sounds wise.

Thole has basically the same offensive output as JPA the last 3 years, he gets on base more, JPA hits for more power.

Thole hits righties better and righties make up 70% of the pitchers in the league so that is why I prefer him over JPA.

True, because the point of spring training is...

But honestly, I don't see who out of all the players I mentioned shouldn't be on the MLB roster.
    1) Loup was great last year in 30+ innings, + this ST
    2) Rogers has always had control issues. He didn't pitch well last year. Has pitched horribly this ST.
    3) Jeffress has also had control issues in the past, but he has showed signs this ST that he can control his speed.
    4) Schwimer: I don't know about his options. He looked alright last season, and could be a good tall guy out of the pen.

But yeah, we should definitely go in with a bullpen of: Delabar, Santos, Oliver, and add Janssen when he's fully healthy.

If you're simply talking about the really small sample size, then why only quote my post, and not the original post... because that's the point of the thread.

You could make a fair argument for any of them without referring to a handful of spring innings. Although I have no idea how Schwimer's '12 was him 'looking alright' but Rogers' superior year=him not pitching well last year.

Not following. Point of the thread was to discuss who makes the team. OP never mentioned making those decisions based on what was happening in spring training.
