    Goodson Signs w/ Jets

to a 3 year 6.9 million dollar contract. To much for us to spend on an injure prone back-up. Wish him the best of luck. McFadden will be our premiere runner while Reece will have some 3rd down reps. I hope we get a decent power runner as a back-up. Cedric Benson, Bradshaw, etc.....

Well, we can find a decent if not very good running back on the market. There are a bunch out there as well as some UDFA after the draft. No worries.

I'd be willing to bet that the guy who leads us in rushing in 2013 isn't even on the roster yet.

Running backs grow on trees. That said, the Jets paid absurd money for Goodson. Thank god those days are over in Oakland.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that contract, that was a ridiculous amount of money. We are going to have to pick up a couple running backs. It would be nice to have one that lasts the whole season or even 15/17 games and who rushes over a thousand yards.

Yeah but we paid Bruce Campbell for a one year rental? Bruce was like 23 and an athletic freak making next to NOTHING. He could of been a future lineman for us. This IMO was a bad move by RM last yr (in hindsight)

He's a good pick up for them. My only question is....Is he an every down back? I'm not sure.

I will agree with you once Campbell actually does something. He looks the part, but can't get on the field. He wasn't going to be a future anything. Another guy who looks good getting off of the bus but can't play the game.

They had taken him in the what, 4th round? I think they're OK with this. He still hasn't seen the field. Goodson had some talent, but he sure does like to cough up that rock

I think the way Reece played made him expendable. Good luck!

Agreed.. Goodson had some nice runs, but man, it's stressful every time he gets the ball. Maybe it's not fair, maybe it's just my natural pessimism, maybe he got a bad rap--but I always expect him to cough it up. I maintain my cautious faith in Reggie.
