i really enjoy this signing. Can be a decent replacement for woodhead given he can catch passes out of the back field. And the kid is a wiz on kickoff returns. What are the terms? Anyone know yet?

Financial terms of the deal are not yet known, but a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Washington signed a one-year deal

alright signing, but where the hell is the DB signings??? If BB doesn't do anthing about the secondary, we won't make it to the superbowl cause manning will eat up the d.

Great signing because this means no Josh Cribbs who I am not very high on.

Does this mean Woodhead is out? Vereen's role should get a nice increase then
Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

Washington is one of, if not the best kick returner in the league.

So pumped, because I'm sure BB and McDaniels will use all of his talents too

This sucks if Woodhead is out. I still want Cribbs though.

There's still a lot of talent on the board, and the early signings suggest that the CB market should favor the Pats.

There's no need for Cribbs. Washington is an excellent return specialist, and I doubt NE would sign Cribbs specifically for his receiver skills.

kills me as a jets fan to see this-but you guys got a hell of a player, one of the most underrated in the game

he can house it anytime he touches it PR/KR and pass catching

Not sure if it means no Woody. I think its more likely Edelman/Demps are gone because of this. He fell to 3rd RB in Seattle, and was pretty ****** when he did run the ball this year. He's gonna be 31 this summer, so he probably is just a returner with a sparse carries.

Although we could use a bigger back/fullback as a 4th.
