We have I believe about 2 weeks. We obviously have had the goalie "controversy" and rumors still surrounding a potential trade. But others trades could be made too. Any names you like out there that may be realistic?
I found one from NHL.com, EJ Hradek mentions us when discussing Mike Ribeiro.
Personally for me, I would love a center like Riberio. He is a free agent after this season, but if we can clear enough cap space for him and throw Washington something with Schroeder as the main piece, I would love a deal like that. Also, with Kesler's constant health issues, it would be nice to get stability at center for the rest of the season and maybe beyond.
Another name that I like, and I know a few of you like is Ryan Clowe. He's been on everyone's radar here for a couple years now. I think he will be available. Wouldn't mind making a push for him.
Iginla will probably be tossed around, but obviously he wont be traded to a division rival. I'm kind of wondering if maybe someone like Briere could be a potential trade piece with Philly struggling hard? Maybe someone like Versteeg could be had as well? I know there will be names out there.
As far as the goalies, I am content not trading either. I think having 2 strong goalies come playoff time is a necessity. But if a good offer comes around, especially one that could help us now, I would not hesitate. The way Luongo is playing right now, his value must be pretty high. Perhaps it would be a solid time to trade him if we were going to.
