The scouting report on him says he trives in the nickel package, so I guess a nickel package depth signing? I'm cool w/ that, but 3 mil?

It's worth up to $3 million, pretty sure it's incentive laden.

I know we need A LB but he is not it.

He played Will last year, is he going to backup Lavonte, while earning more than Lavonte?

It's a depth signing fellas, lets not overreact. Not every signing is pure gold.

He signed an incentive laden deal, based on everything I've seen, so lets not get too bent out of shape.

Casillas figures to replace Q. Black at SLB. Young, athletic kid who has flashed ability. Only 25 years old

It seems to me that we value the SLB position around the same level as a LS or a FB.

^^^I figured that's where he'd be used. And to your point, the SLB only plays like 30% of the defensive snaps in our scheme, so they probably don't place too much value into it. It's a low risk signing and, like Krasniqi pointed out, he's only 25 (26?).

FYI-- #Bucs have not confirmed the Casillas signing. His agent, Blake Baratz, confirmed the agreement via Twitter
hopefully its not true, but it sounded true coming from his agent

I wasn't calling you out or anything, and I was more or less agreeing with you. I just don't think this signing is worth the "freak out" some fans are having. My feeling about whoever we bring in (free agent, draftee, whatever) is that I hope they work out and if not, oh well. This move doesn't seem overly risky, so I'm not gonna stress myself out over it. That's all. No big deal.
