    Bernard Pollard RELEASED by Ravens

I can't post/copy from twitter at work but Benard Pollard just got released by the Ravens. Aside from all the fantastic intangibles he has accomplished in his career I think this signing would actually make sense for both sides.

    For Pollard:
He can look at Landry's upcoming deal as exactly what could happen for him. He comes in for a short term deal, cleans up as a run stopper for an excellent defensive coach and gets a payday next year.

    For Jets:
He gets to play the Patriots twice. A solid tackler who would come reasonably cheap since he had a down year. Fills a major need.

    GO. GET. HIM. IDZIK.

    Thoughts?

The Patriot Killer! Yea he would fit in nicely for a reasonable price. Another guy who served under Rex. Doesn't he have an existing rib injury? Could be a factor, but again for a reasonable price, why not?

i'd definitely look at him on a 1-year, incentive-based deal... great against the run, good at blitzing (for a S) and has made a career out of ruining the patriots' season.

Respect him as a player, absolutely no respect for him as an individual.

From his time with the Texans. Barking at Reggie Wayne, of all people.

I know this might come as a shock to you but you aren't forced to click/read on the thread. He's a player that fans of this particular team are entertained by and I was wondering if people thought he would be a fit here. Deal with it.

he was part of the mutiny that almost happened in Baltimore. He is a bad locker room guy, we don't need that. Holmes and Cro are enough, we finally cleared everyone else out.

I gotta disagree with that. The locker room needs players that aren't afraid of putting there foot down and saying enough is enough and we need to do something for the benefit of the team.

Cro and SHolmes aren't those kinds of players, but Pollard is.
I get what your saying but it was an entirely different situation.

Still I don't see the Jets affording him, unless there is fewer bidders than expected.

I 100% agree with this. Holmes is a "me first" brat whose *****ing mainly revolves around things directly involving himself. Pollard strikes me as a guy who just says whatever the hell is on his mind. Granted i dont know either of these guys personally so how the **** would I know but that's my perception. Hell he might be the perfect guy to get Holmes to shut the hell up!
