Bye Bye Tynes (Giants Will Sign Josh Brown - Post #18)

In Reese We Trust · 3,839 like this

According to reports, the 49ers are expected to make an offer to Lawrence Tynes when free agency opens. He is not expected back with the Giants
These are tough cap times when you can't even afford to keep your kicker.....who has 2 NFC Championship winning kicks.

He frustrated the hell out of me sometimes with his inconsistency and lack of strength, but he's been real good the last few years.

I do NOT trust Buehler, so I hope we get someone in to compete with him.

I still don't know whether I really don't like him or it's a case of "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". Gut I guess I'm gonna figure that out next year...

I gotta believe Bironas is gonna cost more than Tynes. Tynes FG pct. was pretty average the last couple of years.

I'm guessing they'll stick with Buehler and bring in some UDFA to compete with him, unless they're willing to use a pick on a kicker. There's a couple kickers who are supposedly worthy of getting drafted. Hopkins from Florida State, Sturgis (Florida) and Maher (Nebraska). Not sure I believe they'd be willing to use a pick on one though.

New kickers/punters are always stressful to watch. Remember the days of Dodge?

Use a 6th if necessary to draft a kicker. They are worth it.

This year has a few solid 6-7th round kickers , I am worried as everyone who dealt with dodge is lol but well be fine and the 49s get him and keep their players they should be huge Super Bowl favorites by a large margin ..boldin is all they needed plus a solid kicker to have one of the most dangerous Os in the league and. Painful(big hard hitting , tough physical offense not just quick but hurt you type players. That tires and Injures defense . )
