    Lightbulb Offense Over Defense

I, like many, use to be under the belief that "defense wins championships". But within the last few years, that theory has been proven wrong as offense is now the way to a championship. With that being said, I believe we need to continue molding our team into an offensive minded team with an aggressive defense.

    Free Agency
OG, Andy Levitre: Instantly slides into our starting line and is a massive upgrade.

DE, Lawrence Sidbury: A very talented addition to our defensive pass rush and could compete with Morgan/Wimbley, all the while forming a good rotation of pass rushers.

CB, Rashean Mathis: Clearly past his prime and no longer considered a starting caliber corner, but I believe Mathis could lock down the nickel corner job for us at a very team friendly price.

DL, Chris Canty: An instant upgrade on our interior line and run defense. Canty would also bring versitility to our defense.

TE, Delanie Walker: Not a flashy addition but a Munchak caliver addition. Walker does not excel at anything but its solid in general.

    Draft:
    1. Star Lotulelei, DT: A complete steal. Star will allow us to move to more of a 4-3/3-4 hybrid with Star at NT while Casey and Canty play the Ends. Otherwise allowing us to play Canty/Star inside and Wimbley/Morgan outside in a 4-3.

    2. Zach Ertz, TE: A bit of a shocker but a great value. Ertz has the potential and talent to quickly erase Cook for TitanNations mind. Ertz is an above average route runner with good hands and could prove to be Locker's check down option for years to come.

    3. Barrett Jones, OL: A verstile, intelligent lineman would quickly slide in as a starter in our interior line. Another great value.

    4. Bacarri Rambo, S: Rambo has a nose for the ball and has experience playing both safety spots. He is also solid in run support as well as pass coverage.

And right now I believe that Quarterbacks win championships.... Last 10 Super Bowl Champions

    Tom Brady
    Tom Brady
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Peyton Manning
    Eli Manning
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Drew Brees
    Aaron Rodgers
    Eli Manning
    Joe Flacco

And I don't have too much faith that Jake Locker is gonna ever be mentioned in the same breath as those guys.

While I agree that no one, in their right mind, would confuse Locker for one of the aforementioned QBs, I do have faith he will be that caliber player. What about him makes so many doubt him?

We will find out this year. Historically you almost always know what you have by the 3rd year for quarterbacks. Its a really small number of them (like less than 5%) that have breakout seasons later in their careers. For the most part guys that are high level quarterbacks are high level quarterbacks by their 3rd year in the league. And many of the ones that aren't are only so because they were sitting behind an elite quarterback.

His accuracy is still the big concern. Because he threw a ton of uncatchable passes in 2012.

Those would be some good free agent pick ups and if Star fell to 10 that would be great. It would provide some instant help and might get the team over the hump.
HW: Stipe Miocic, Fabricio Werdum LHW: Dan Henderson, Shogun Rua MW: Vitor Belfort, Alessio Sakara WW: Demian Maia, Jon Fitch, Carlos Condit LW: Rustam Khabilov, Jamie Varner, Ben Henderson FW: Dustin Poirier, Diego Nunes, Jose Aldo, Mike Brown BW: Brian Bowles, Brad Pickett Fly: Joseph Benavidez Women: Jessica Eye, Bec Hyatt
