That was a great read.
Damnit I forgot to watch, I made a note in my phone to remind me but never looked at my phone lol. MLBN free preview had me watching the WBC
Not to change the subject but Cabrera and Verlander get a ton of press, Hunter and Fielder are also talked about quite a bit, why no love for Austin Jackson nationally? MLB network had him 58th on their top 100 players heading into 2013 even though he finished 27th in all of baseball in WAR, yes that's including pitchers, plus he missed nearly a month of the season. He was also 34th in 2011 and 41st in 2010 as a rookie, heading into his age 26 season with results like those in his first 3, where's the media hype for this guy?
My guess is Austin isn't as flashy as a Cabrera or Fielder is. I say flashy in the sense that he doesn't hit the home runs that people look for, he isn't a character like Fielder is. He just goes about doing his job and does it without speaking much.
