Offseason Sign & Trade Ideas Thread

I know its early, but the Raptors season is all but done. Use this thread to post your ideas on what the Raptors should do in the offseason.

I personally want the Raptors to target Lamarcus Aldridge or Paul Milsap.

Portland look to be rebuilding somewhat, keeping Aldridge would just keep them on the treadmill. I figure we could offer them a pretty good package.

Utah obviously needs to trade Milsap if they want to get something back for him. Unless of coarse they want to keep him, which is unlikely with the logjam they have at that position. He would probably cheaper then going after Aldridge, but Aldridge would still be my first target.

Hoping AA is gone and Klieza is gone with amnesty clause, I think The raps should try to trade Bargnani for Marvin Williams, & try to sign somebody like JJ Hickson to play PF, that would be my ideal situation.

EDIT: I'd love for the raptors to try and get Corey Brewer or Matt Barnes too.

So you want to get rid of mediocre player for more mediocre players?

JJ Hickson is no mediocre player lol and Marvin Williams can play the 3 or 4 along with Rudy, sorry that I'm not throwing out trade ideas like Bargnani and chips for Lamarcus Aldridge...

well.. get rid of the guys who dont play.. then basically keep the team ya got and try to make the playoffs... unless we pull of the sign of the year and get some mega star (which we wont) were probably looking at 7th place at best.. 6th is a stretch... so if they give me playoffs basketball next year. and maybe win a playoff game at home.. ill be happy

Exactly, the core is already set, as well it's better to have mediocre players who fit the system instead of players who don't.

Once we forfeit our draft pick to OKC, we have the ability to trade multiple 1st rounders to begin a package for a star type player.

    Example: 2014 1st + 2016 1st + Bargnani + filler for Aldridge.

If we are in win now mode next season, may as well go big.

I will agree though that Marvin & Hickson would be a better fit over Kleiza & Bargs, but Hickson is going to be looking to getting paid and Marvin will be earning over $8 mill next season, so that is less likely to happen then what I am suggesting.

Utah is also going to be $30 mill under the cap, they will need to take on $30 mill in contracts just to get to the league minimum.

Thats why I think Milsap is a realistic target. They can afford to take on salary as long as they are getting draft picks or young players back.

They also don't have much leverage either because Milsap is a UFA.

Apparantly at the deadline the Hawks almost accepted a Hawes+Turner for Jsmith move.

So the Sixers are clearly shopping hawes in a lot of packages because they offered him to us for Bargs to.

I think Sixers will go hard after Cousins this off season. Offering a similar package plus probably more picks and a player or 2.

Wonder how much the asking price would be for Andrew Bynum this off season? Would be a great player to have on the raptors, assuming his knees are healthy.

I'd like to cut ties with AA use amnesty on LK, possibly look to trade Demar and defiantly look to trade Bargs, Gray and JL3.

Realistic FA targets for me would be D.J. Augustin, Charles Jenkins, CJ Watson as back up PG and Carl Landry, Greg Smith, DeJuan Blair and Brandan Wright for Big's

Some possible sign and trade options well using possible ( Demar-Bargs-TRoss or Pick)for me would be JJ Reddick, O.J. Mayo, Paul Millsap, Nikola Pekovic and Al Jefferson

Just some straight up trade options come off season for me would be Wilson Chandler, Carlos Boozer(for Bargs only) and yes B2B maybe even Cousins.

You can also add Beno Udrih, Calderon, and resigning Telfair as other PG options.
