    The Landry Bros?

I like Bell a lot but he is old. Jags cut D. Landry and we HAVE TO resign L. Landry. I say we get 2 for 1 and have the toughest safety tandem in the game!

OR - maybe more like the Hanson Bros in "Slap Shot." They were tough, too, although dumber than dirt - but they had a shot at winning the title - in semi-pro hickey in the '70's. (mostly a joke, although I would love to Laron back - but not at >$6 million - I'm not saying he's not worth it, but I don't think we have the cap dough!

Don't overpay Laron and one year Dawan, sure.

Btw I loathe the NFL. Landry was cut before year 3 of a 5 year deal. NO ONE gives a ****. Meanwhile Revis is the bad guy in this league for trying to rob our friend Mr. Johnson of his hard earned money. Fuuuuuuuck these scumbag owners, I cannot wait until the NFL collapses on itself.

Which would make sense if he hadn't held out twice already in the middle of deals. And both times picked up nice bonus money. He likes taking money upfront, ignoring it, and then *****ing about his per year number which only matters for bragging rights and ****ing up our cap space.

Ahhh the Bash Brothers, that brings a smile to my face. That movie is timeless, I wish I could watch it right now.

    New York Rangers: Down 1-0

    New York Yankees 2013: 27-16

WOW! Don't hold back - tell us what you really think! Revis has made > $50 million dollars, for playing 5 years of football (on 1 year on IR - but it was a non-contact injury, so it's not like he sacrificed himself for the betterment of the team).

Go for what you can get - but I want to be the team (like Pitt, N.E., NYG) that doesn't let the player dictate what he's worth to the team. The owner/GM decide who is worth what.

I do think it's ridiculous to have contracts that can be voided - BUT the NFL Players Arse-ociation just jumped like Greedy kids in a 10 year deal with the scumbag owners - and did the owners hold almost all of the cards? Hell yes, but tell me where in this country that it doesn't work like that?

    GO JETS!!!

I like the idea, but it could only realistically be done if LLandry gives the Jets the a break the 1st year.

    Laron isn't worth 6M

Franchise is 6.9M and Laron isn't top 5. I'd be happy settling at 5-5.5 and anymore I'd rather look elsewhere including Dashon Goldson

Dawan is a shell of what he was in Baltimore as Rotowold correctly depcits him in the article below. He's not much and was a product of being able to roam with Ed Reed covering his back for the Ravens:

LaRon's brother signed a five-year, $27.5 million deal after the lockout, but was a disappointment in two years with Jacksonville. He graded out negatively in Pro Football Focus' ratings in each of 2011 and 2012, underwhelming against the run while intercepting just three passes. The Jags are so eager to move on they're willing to eat $3.9 million in "dead money," and only cleared $1.45 million in salary cap space. They're remaking former GM Gene Smith's broken roster from the bottom up.

There are far better safeties available albeit more expensive as Delmas was set free along with Quin who both provide far better coverage ability and are much younger. Even if both are not available, this is a good year in FA to get one as well as thru the draft. No reason to select a leftover prospect early in FA when he can be had for very cheap later should all other options become exhausted. Dawan is a late desperate pickup for the Jets. Let's all hope he isn't wearing a Jets jersey.

I do agree he wasn't all too good in J-ville, but I would think that given the chance to play alongside his brother in NY would really motivate him to play lights out since brothers always tend to try and outdo each other.

But only if the price is right and cans be had for cheap if we can give Laron a less-than-6-mil offer.

If not, no biggie. I'm sure Jets brass has their eyes on other players that can fit the mold.
