    We Believe vs We Belong

Which Warriors team would win in a 7 game series: The 2006-7 Warriors or the 2012-13 Warriors? The teams are obviously completely different, so I don't think it's pointless to compare them...?

    Baron Davis/Monta
    Richardson/Pietrus/Azubuike
    Stephen Jackson/Barnes/Azubuike
    Al Harrington/Cabarkapa
    Biedrins/Foyle

    Nelson

    vs

    Curry/Jack
    Thompson/Green
    Barnes/Jefferson
    Lee/Landry
    Bogut/Ezili/Biedrins

    Jackson

Not a Warriors fan so don't get mad that I didn't get the depth charts exact..

    Thoughts?

^^ That having been said...we believe. We had way too much firepower on that team. Chances are, we would have had a better record if Baron wasnt injured down the stretch. We upset the 66 win Mavs with a starting lineup of Davis, Ellis, Richardson, Jackson, Harrington.

One would cite matchups, but we just had talent at every position and a decent bench.

This current team struggles against bottom feeding teams.

I've said this all along; I'm not convinced that were a playoff team. And even if we make it, we wont get far. At the beginning of the season, we were blown out by good teams and struggled against bad teams. Nowadays we don't get blown out by good teams (we actually win sometimes) yet we still struggle vs bad teams. It's horrible.

No, Mack. He isn't. He's always been a Kings fan.

Even though Monta, Richardson, Pietrus, Azubuike, and Stephen Jackson would feast on Klay and Barnes, the 2013 Warriors have too much size for the 07 dubs. 2013 in 7

I already know Guppy will say "We Belong" because a certain player is on the other one.

That team was built to neutralize size. Shut down Dirka Dirk in his MVP year. NBA analysts were scared about what We Believe team would have done to Yao if his team won that round.

Also, OP, Caparkaba wasn't on the playoff roster. Biedrins and Harrington were pretty much the big guys with Matt Barnes and Azubuike coming in to assist and go small ball.

No, We Believe was better than this team. I just think this team has a higher ceiling. The We Believe team was fourth in offensive efficiency. It was an offensive Juggernaut.

Dirk was all perimeter. Yao wouldn't have the speed to run the floor, but Lee and Landry do.

Either way, the team with Biedrins wins(and loses)

I tend to agree with this. I actually think the current team is better. Throwing stats aside for a second. The current team has the ability to do well in a far wider variety of match ups than the we believe team. The current team has way better depth, the current team has a legit center. (Although Beidrins wasnt bad that season)

I know the warriors havent played well the last few weeks, but thats whats frusterating. This team is a lot better than how they have been playing. If this team played with half the hustle and assertiveness over the last month that the we believe team played with, theyd probably have a better record than the nuggets right now.

The we believe team was playing as well as they possibly could during the dallas series and the 4-5 weeks going into the playoffs that year. I mean they literally had like 4 of their main guys playing the best basketball of their carreers at one time. (Not likely at all). I mean to think a team could sustain that type of play for too long wasn't realistic.
A role model if I ever knew one

Are we talking about on paper or what those players done in those seasons?

If Andris Biedrins is that 9 and 9 guy in 2006-07, then the We Believe team would win easily. A 28 year old Baron Davis would be too strong, athletic and fast for Curry. Stephen Jackson would just abuse the rookie Barnes. The only matchup that would favor the current team is Lee vs. Harrington. Monta wasn't the Monta people know and love either. And I do have grudge against Zarko. If it wasn't for him, I would of been out of the VW/Audi dealer in Oakland in about 2 hours with a new car. Instead, he was helping his buddy buy a Toureg and of course, all the sales people flocked to him.
