    Double D un-retiree?

lol, i didnt know where to post this, fell free to move it if ya want.

now, with DD and jennings gone there is a vacancy at the position. although donald is slowing down, i still thought he was productive with his opportunities. with the way he views this franchise im sure he would play for the vet minimum and he is solid depth as well. we dont really need him to be that no1, 2 or 3 guy so i could see him fairly productive over the middle in a four or even five wideout set.

does anybody else have a feeling he may come back?

i just wanted to post this up to hear what you guys would think about him coming back for a season....maybe two. hes certainly a guy i want on our sidelines for as long as he is willing to be.

Helllllllllllllllllllllll no. I love DD but he is done. I could see him being a teams #4 or #3 WR on a bad team but there is no way he ends up with us. We will draft a WR to fill GJ roster spot and there still wouldn't be room for DD. He wasn't that productive last year and there is a reason we didn't utilize him much and that's cause he just doesn't have it anymore.

the only way he sees the field for the packers next season is if we have our top 4 receivers go down to injury.
the packers have so much talent...

I'm pretty positive he'll stay retired plus I think GB is done with him as a player, they've moved on.
Maybe he'll come back at some point as a coach or assistant. I loved Donald D! one of my all time favorites, I was really glad he got a ship before he retired.

I wouldn't be surprised if Driver came back in the case of a receiver injury pandemic. But apart from a bunch of receiver injuries, Driver is retired.

I feel you didn't watch him last year. The fact was he was VERY unproductive with his opportunities. He had the worst drop % on the team and the worst yards per route run. Both by a good margin. Not only that but why waste a spot on a player with very little to give when you can have a player with a bigger upside that could be developed on the roster. I felt it was a wasted roster spot last year and I think TT and MM realized that pretty quick. I don't see Driver wanting to push it any further after last year anyway. I'm sure watching his tape he realized he wasn't getting any separation. He knew his time was over in the NFL.

He could come back much like Ahman Green did, but if the Packers have to resort to that, they could be in big trouble. Truthfully though, the Pack is very thin at WR right now assuming GJ is gone. One injury to Jones, Nelson or Cobb and there could be serious problems with our wideouts like in November last year. Not too sure if Boykin is ready.

It'll be interesting to see how TT addresses this in the draft or through UDFA.

haha! Most definitely not. He played very few snaps this past year. Doesn't merit him trying a comeback.
