Pryor is ready to win over his teammates/coaches

Good luck Mr. Pryor you got my vote.

Terrelle Pryor is ready to win over his coaches, teammates

Pryor told Pro Football Talk on Wednesday that he’ll be ready to go if/when he gets the opportunity to start. At this point, though, he’s focused on building credibility within the organization.

“Right now I’m trying to win over my coaches, win over my teammates and everybody in the facility and let them know that I wanna be a leader, a great leader and I’m there for the long haul and I wanna win just as bad as everybody else and that’s what I want to prove to everybody before I really get into talks of starting and stuff like that,” Pryor told Erik Kuselias.

Pryor stopped short of declaring himself to be the best quarterback currently on the roster.

“I don’t really wanna give comparisons or anything like that because Carson [Palmer] does a great job of what he does, and I can also play too and do some things well too,” Pryor said. “So I can’t down talk him because he’s a great QB to me and I just wanna stay on my side of seeing what I have to do to get better every single day and that’s where I’m at right now. “

Still, with the trend toward mobile quarterbacks, Pryor knows he brings the ability to move to the table.

“I feel like I can extend plays and . . . you don’t know what your gonna get from me as a QB from a defensive perspective,” Pryor said. “They don’t know exactly if I’m gonna run the ball or can I hold onto the ball a little bit and add a little extra time to get a receiver open where I can do a three-step drop and throw the ball in time. I feel like I can extend plays well and I’m so fast and I believe in my speed and I can get around and wait for guys to get open as well.”

I would give him his shot this year if he is looking good in camp. We have nothing to lose and we need to know if TP can play.

Is it possible to restructure CP3, trade him, and pay him part of his salary?

It best to part ways no matter what the cost is, the Oakland Raiders have absorbed enough of this mess and it`s time to move forward. Dumping Palmer gives Allen an additional year to get the team together, with Palmer his head is chopped off at the end of 2013 and I don`t think the Raiders are willing to risk the coaches at this time.

I have mixed feelings. If Pryor starts, Palmer is gone. If Palmer is a goner, then we use a precious draft pick on a QB. IMO their isn't a QB worth picking up this year....Maybe, just maybe Tyler Bray in the later rounds. The talent is there, but the maturity isn't. We're in quite the conundrum.

When the best thing you can say about a QB is that he's fast, alarms should sound in your head.

I agree with what you are saying, but one thing we have to remember is OC's now are tailoring pro style offenses around the strengths of their mobile QBs with the read options, spread formations, etc.

In the last game of the year whether it was Knapp's choice (probably wasn't even capable of tailoring a game to Pryor) or Coach Allen's you will notice that we ran our "traditional" offense that was tailored to a drop back passer like Palmer.

I just think what a creative guy could do who purposely puts a game plan into place that allows Pryor to play to his strengths. It is obvious he doesn't have the footwork or ability to make multiple reads and deliver the ball to the open man, but much of the Redskins offense last year was set up to one side of the field or the other with some type of read option or roll out.

If we are going to make major changes, why not do it all in one year (Cuts, suffering from the salary cap, inexperience, etc.).

I fail to see why so much hate for a 3rd round pick.

The guy showed a ton of poise in his first start, and showed me he has the ability to win moreso then our current starter....

Yeah his throwing motion sucks, but given his work ethic, personal ethic, love for the team, and now having good coaches to work with....I'm surprised he does not garner more support. He never looked to run first, only to extend plays, and make sound decisions for a young guy.

You never hear ego, always hear him wanting to work hard, got **** on by Hue, respects Carson, respects his coaches, been working in the offseason since it started.... I fail to see the problem.

I wish we had more players like this. Even if he ends up failing, I appreciate the hard work and determination to become better. Its about time we got some accountability here....been a loooooooong time.......

He has your vote? Wow ,that doesn't sound like you Firm! Like someone said earlier talk is cheap but I do like his enthusiasm. Pryor will get his chance to back it up in training camp with Palmer or another drafted or veteran QB ,I honestly don't believe Allen is ready to put this team on his shoulders....but that's me.
