Which team would you rather face in the first round of the Playoffs?

Assuming the Knicks get the 2nd or 3rd seed, it looks like we'd most likely play the Boston Celtics or the Brooklyn Nets.

Interestingly enough, either foe would be a division rival, but facing each team is different and beating them means something different.

Boston Celtics:
Beating the prideful Celtics (a team that swept them a couple years ago) could be a huge boost in confidence. Knowing that they bested what's left of a veteran team, winning some playoff games in the TD garden could give us some much needed toughness.

Brooklyn Nets:
Bragging Rights. What's more ego and energy boosting than Knocking the other team in the your city out of the playoffs. This NBA subway series, would be extremely beneficial to the older players on the team who would not have to travel very far in between games.

^^^ yep, i just know the celtics are going to play really hard in the 1st round. pierce and garnett have tons of playoff experience and they are the better defensive team. brooklyn pretty much sucks, but we just pray deron williams doesn't go off in playoffs.

I'm certainly not assuming that we will be a 2 or 3 seed. I would much rather play Atlanta though than either of these teams.

it looks like we are going to finish 3rd,so it will probably be celtics or atlanta,we can beat them both but i prefer atlanta.there are two teams that we cant win them 4 times,heat and bulls.indiana beat us by 30 but i still think we can beat them in the playoffs. if we can avoid chicago we can reach the conf finals

We could end up facing CHI, BOS, BK, ATL or even MIL.

Too early for this and too early to narrow it down to BK or BOS. The east has alot of good teams, except for MIL, none of those series would be easy.

I don't want to play BOS again though, they've had our number and you just can't count out KG & Pierce. Also I'd like to play someone different this year.

I would have voted for Miami, but since this is about the celtics and nets I voted nets. Nets vs Knicks would bring some fun and good trash talk to the city.

Idk about you guys but the perfect way to win these playoffs would be getting the Nets first, Boston second, and then Miami last.

Run NY, payback for that Celtic Sweep and of course dethroning Miami. That's what I'd prefer.
