What the hell is going on with him possibly leaving the organization.

That would be a huge loss imo. Say what you want about he and JD's hesitancy to sign or re-sign a big name guy but Nolan's leadership in this organization is a big deal. We can not lose him.

I really think this whole thing is being overblown. I think the moves have been made in order to give the organization room to promote people from within when the time comes, instead of losing them to other teams. Someone like Thad Levine, who is being groomed as a GM, could step into the GM role in a few years and JD stay on as president.

Also, if Nolan DOES leave, yes it will be terrible. It's hard to measure what he truly brings to the table, but there is enough small pieces here and there that it matters. That being said, I still think this franchise has been successful in large part due to Jon Daniels and his team.

I hope all this passes, and if there is any friction it is resolved. But I'm not going to play into the local media's hand trying to divide the fan base between Nolan and JD
