How many games Does D-Rose need before the playoffs?

I thought I would bring this question up as roses return seems to be rather soon, but the question here is how many games before the playoffs would you like the see rose play in if any at all. To me, I think you clearly need to give him some games to get back into the swing of things, even if those games are played in only 15-20 minutes. he needs the time to get back so in the playoffs he doesnt look rusty ???. the other option is obviously sit him for the rest of the year, including playoffs which is an option too. so whats your opinion on the situation. with 23 games (24 including tonights game) how many would you like to see him suit up for.

Hopefully the last 10-15 like you said. Even if he gets that amount of games under his belt. He'll still be rusty since he's been away from the game for so long, but it will help. Of course if he plays around 20, I wouldn't mind it either.

I think he needs 15-20 games. If we don't see him by end of next wk doubt for rest of the season is going to set in for me. I think he will be back tho, and I read its not going to be announced either, one of these games he might just pop up.

Anyone just see that drose wgn spot before this game??

As many games as we have left on the schedule is what I'd like him to do. But, what he needs is probably closer to 15ish games playing 15-20 minutes at first and slowly creeping towards 30mpg.

20 game mark. 15 games to get in game shape and to trust his knee. Then an extra 5 of trying to take over games for a stretch and get a rhythm playing 30+ minutes.

MJ 1986 played 15 after breaking his foot from March 15 onward till the playoffs and didn't average but 23 mpg till the playoff started with his last 5 games or so in the upper 30 mpg. So I think Rose needs a similar amount of games.

You know everytime they show him practicing he looks 100% and happy, yet when they interview him he says he needs a little more time. Me personally I think he's good to go now actually good to go 2-3 weeks ago but they're being way to cautious. But with that being said i'm glad he isn't pushing it, but I think he needs the last 20 games to get into game shape and ready to play at the playoff level of competition.

How are "they" being way too cautious now? It's all up to Rose at this point. He's been cleared by the team's doctors, and every interview with a teammate has them being all googly eyed at Rose and saying he's ready to go. Thibs has stated that when Rose says he's ready then he'll play.

It's ALL on Rose at this point. So if you think the situation is being handled too cautiously, direct that towards Rose and not "they" please.

10-15 games for me. I don't really have a strict preference on the time though as long as he's ready physically and mentally. If he comes back in the playoffs, so be it.

Whenever Rose and the trainers feel he is ready to play. Start him out at 10 mins a game.

Do you realize how few 10 minutes a game is? That's literally him playing 2:30 a quarter. That's not enough. 20 15-20 minutes is more reasonable.

you would not play him for 2.5 minutes a quarer, you put him in near the end of the 2nd and allow him to play 10 strait minutes, its not that bad for a guy who hasnt played in almost a year.

I think having a guy sit the whole game and then play him basically the whole fourth is even worse in some ways. You're sitting him for over an hour and then asking him to go win you the game.

I dont think anyone would be asking rose to win games on his first games back, he is clearly not going to play much, but your statement made it wound like would would literaly play him for only 2.5 minute segments which isnt the case at all. we ould probably allow him to play the whole 2nd quarter or something like that, allow him to get his legs back but nobody would be saying put rose in in the 4th quarter of close games his first few games back. that would just be stupid. rose isnt going to be the rose we saw before on those first few games and fans need to understand that, where your getting the idea of placing him in at the end of games well thats just stupidity. if thibs where to sit rose the intire game and allow him to close out a game on a questionable knee i would call for his head. I think that nobody would be expecting that at this point.
